Does Vlad need a rework to make him less obnoxious, definitely. Do we need another Nightmare like Morde's trauma? Not really.

what i'm doing isn't trying to encourage them, but to say that vladimir should have been the FIRST to be reworked in this way instead of morde because he is way more toxic.

i would have agreed, but vladimir's kit can definitly be balanced around bot lane because he is ranged unlike mordekaiser

Vladimir + Soraka bot. The sustain is real. Pretty unkillable tbh. You'll never poke him down and you can't lock him down with CC 'cause he has pool.

That said, I think that Vlad is pretty balanced currently, he is still vulnerable to early game monsters like Riven and he has difficulties catching up once he is behind.

They did nerf the range of his E with the rework, and made it MUCH harder to hit people with who are on the edge of it.

in 2010 when adc+support wasn't in every game someone with hotshotgg played vladimir farming+ a support helping him, was successfull because a while back he just needed gold to make use his broken passive (used to be 1.8 hp for each ap/ 1 ap for each 20 health)

He's probably the other best option, although his lvl 1 is inflexible enough that good bot lanes will punish him really hard. Part of the reason that Vlad would be better is because he's manaless and can afford to give up blue, wheras Azir definitely can't do that.

I honestly welcomed the idea of trying to get some melee carries in the botlane. I think it could work if they build the kit from scratch and put some serious time and thought into how it would be healthy. Mordekaiser was a terrible choice, and having a meta shattering champion be rushed was a terrible decision.

It was a good idea to rework Morde.

But it seems like "hey let's just put those 2 together and hope that is also a good idea".

If they ever get him balanced, I am happy with the rework overall, as it is definitely a nice change after having only ADCs bot for years. But in his current state he is just very hard to balance: if he is too weak he does nothing, if he is too strong he becomes oppressive and oneshots you. He probably needs some more kit changes before he is exactly what he is supposed to be.

I actually do agree. Vlad is pretty much the same as old Morde. Both tanky, both have sustain, both have spammy spells, endless harass, etc. However, old Morde was more bursty and had tons of spell vamp on top of his shielding. Vladimir was the first to come to my mind when Morde was getting "reworked"...

I still don't see how a somewhat tanky champions that's extremely reliant on enemy minions to fight, has no mobility, no CC and very clear weaknesses is toxic in lane. Ranged toplaners with escape against melee are toxic in lane. Morde? ??? Probably was one of the healthiest champions in there. But sure, let's hear the creator of Kalista speak of toxicity.

Morde wasn't toxic in the sense of him permapoking and outsustaining you. He was toxic in the sense of him being completely useless unless he got kills.

Hemoplague's damage amp now increase if two or more enemy hit.
Ally now can click on sanguine pool to sink and increase its duration
Transfusion now can be cast on ally to deal X% current health damage but heals vlad for triple the amount

I remember reading Riot saying how unhealthy Vladimir is and they said they don't know why he's a champion even. He has ranged AoE, ranged poke, ranged heal, invulnerability, and a nuke. I don't mind playing against him in lane though, but he's definitely not the definition of "fun". Personally I believe that any champion that lacks mechanical skill is toxic for the game because you leave little room for the human element. Champions that are too easy, yet really strong, in the hands of a semi-competent person makes the game un-fun. Champions like Zed, Riven, Yasuo, Lee to me are healthy because 90% of the time, the person makes a lot of mistakes that you can easily capitalize on. It's not like I main these champions or anything, but the fact there's a much higher chance of them missing skillshots, not animation canceling properly, using an E poorly on Yas or taking a Q/missing a kick on Lee is much higher than Garen running up, silencing you, breaking your armor then ulting you for 1k at level 6.

EDIT: It's easier for me to accept being outplayed than just getting ult'd for 1k. As much as people didn't like Darius or Fiora, I still believe they require more mechanical skill and leave room for outplay than Garen.
