is karthus any good?
i never see him anymore.
i never see him anymore.
I think he's probably one of the most underrated champions in the game. He's probably not seen often just because of how boring and slow he is as a champion though personally I would pick him as a strong solo queue champion or with a duo because of his powerful slowing wall and the ability to pick off low health targets from anywhere across the map.
Great damage, a decent amount of utility, not that many hardcore counters, and he doesn't struggle too bad against tanks because of his wall reducing 15% of their magic resist. He also has a LOT of items that can be built on him, pretty much any AP item and he works well with a lot of tanky items. Karthus with Rylai's is the definition of cancer.
I've played thousands of Karthus games and manage to reach D2. Despite what people are saying on here, he isnt very good. Not in solo q nor competitive. There are simply better alternatives (Anviia,LB,Zed,Fizz, or literally any other mid champion in the game). His lane phase is bad. His only reliable source of damage is his R and it gets negated by a plethora of items/abilities. His only peak is when he buy Rylais. His W also got recently nerfed by Riot which makes absolutely no sense. His win rate dropped quite heavily due to this nerf. If you plan on playing him, dont. There are simply better alternatives. A lot of people on here are super low elo and have never played Karthus so I wouldnt really listen to them at all.
Come my young karthus padawan...
Que with me I shall teach thy karthus to you
Freelo awaits
Of course, he was so OP that he was used in every single match, you even have 1 in each team during a match, that's why he was nerfed.
unlike
Yes.
His lack of mobility is a weakness in laning but he's so strong mid to late with his spammable Q and that massive ult nuke and a passive that doesn't discourage dying, you can overlook it in soloqueue.
AOE heavy mages are honestly a great pick for soloqueue. Anivia and karthus are amazing.
if you want to die a lot play him
He isn't what he used to be (kind of like most champions now'a days) he is still pretty good, yeah. Little tricky to play but once you start to get him down he is really destructive.
I play him from time to time and he's pretty fun. He can farm pretty safely for his items, and then he just turns into a monster late-game. The W nerf feels kinda shit though, I don't see why that was necessary.
coming to hug you

OOOh shit!

Already found the guides ^^ But thanks anyway.
Depends on if you have balls as a player or not
Silly
kill me in team fights I dare you... My ult shall destroy every living thing except poros and
because fizz isn't even real
I personally like him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew-moRUFUK0
is a late game champ, really focusing on extending the laning phase as long as possible. With how quickly towers fall now, and since he has no mobility, it's really easy to shut down his farm, which puts him in a bad spot.
Karthus is a late game champion who scales slowly but hits hard at full build.
His issue is how long he takes to scale, is he good? Sort of, but he's so reliant on scaling him being consistently good or not is hard to tell.
The problem stems from how easily avoidable his Q is and how his E drains all his mana and does very little damage. His ult is good though.
