Why were champs like yorick,poppy, galio evelyn dumpster-ed

But tyrdamere goes as far as to get buffs to keep him in the meta, sure this one got reverted after riot realized how obnoxious he was being this patch but it got me wondering why does he escape their rule of thumb when it comes to objectively poorly designed characters.

Old wonky kit with high dps potential, a revive as well as percentage damage reduction made him a night mare to deal with

Old Poppy Her ult the support and dive the carries thing was bull shit

Galio defense for offense is almost never a good idea unless its in small increments

Evelyn Permanent stealth, Aoe sheild execution ultimate

But tyrdamere and his random crits and unstoppable anti death ultimate get a pass. He isnt fun to play against in the slightest and i am quite tired of having to waste a ban on this toxic garbage.

Her ult used to make it impossible to cc her or damage her unless your the one she selected so she was built full ad a lot

Probably because Tryndamere is the screen name of Marc Merrill, one of Riot's co-founders

For Poppy, there are three good reasons why she was "dumpstered": 1.) Her ult was hopelessly broken and not only allowed her to solo carries in peace, but also bust towers on the side. 2.) Because of her ult, she had to have an incredibly lousy early game, which is hardly fun. 3.) Her old art made her look like an angry old biddy, wanting to smoosh your soul like a puncake.

Honestly though, I loved her rework; she was a beast in jungle and lane, got her to M6 (and 2/3) in season 7 with her shenanigans and damage.

Im not saying that they shouldn't have been gut the opposite, poppy was a hopeless mess just the same Trydamere shouldn't be allowed to mull about with a fundamentally flawed design.

Well, true; he's in quite the pickle atm with his reputation, mechanics and handling (if he were a plane, he'd fly like a brick.) Still, there is not much that can be done to solve his problem right now, particularly when we got champions like Kayle, Zed, Ezreal, Morgana, Amumu, etc, etc. So many issues, so little time.

It's obvious, they don't have suppression. Give them that and remove the rest of their kit and they'll forever be considered strong =)
