Riot there has to be a situation to ARAM accounts...

Now i usually dont play a lot of ARAM. Like 1 to 2 games every couple weeks or so.

But i have been on an ARAM binge and i have had either an Amumu and/or Kayle in EVERY GAME.

Now im not saying that means im encountering ARAM only accounts. But it certainly is suspicious.

And while those accounts arent exactly breaking any rules. They do something similar to something that IS against the rules: Smurfing.

Now not normal smurfing, thats fine. However there is 1 rule to smurfing Riot DOES enforce. If you are smurfing it has to be not for the sole reason of playing against way worse players to deliberately cause either suffering or free wins.

In otherwords if you are Diamond you cant try your hardest to stay in bronze so that you can just stomp everyone every game. If you are level 30 you cant just keep trying to fight new players so that you can easily stomp everygame.

And if you are creating a smurf account for the sole reason of only owning a few champions that are considered stronger than others in ARAM. Isnt that similar to smurfing? Especially if some people want to avoid ARAM so they dont have to deal with this? Like how some players might get turned off of modes that they keep getting destroyed because of smurfs?

Now im not saying these accounts should be banned. Nor do i think that just making EVERY champion in ARAM is the right answer. I also dont know how to fix it. But theres gotta be something because this is annoying.

This is a hilarious post. I've been playing since s4, and I regularly hop into ARAM for fun. I also abuse it to level new accounts from 20-30. I've played with diamond, master, and bronze players on both sides in Aram. I assure you I am F A R below the level of diamond or master. I'm not even sure ARAM has the same type of MMR system that ranked does. As for "OP champs" my alistar account owns Alistar, Amumu and Soraka. If you look it up I constantly get Lux (because free to play last week) and Warwick (because this weeks free to play). It's not easy top control which champion you get, and rerolls are very limited.

simplest solution is simply make all champs unlocked on aram.

Simple solution is to play and have fun and stop with the stupid conspiracy theories about a myth.

Perhaps you should stop burying your head in the sand with the repeated denials.

Why because you can't and think everyone must be doing the same? Keep wasting your life on empty theories and I'll play and have fun.

They still have the ten free champions to get from and they still have to know how to play the champ in the first place. I have over 100 champs and play mostly ARAM and have never had a problem with "ARAM accounts". Alot of players simply suck at league and maybe you are getting them on your team more than you should because of the piss poor matchmaker. Just because someone feels they are hacking the system by buying all the strong ARAM champs, they still have to learn to play them right and hope they don't go against players that know how to counter them. ARAM accounts are a myth. Bad players are not.

Let me be frank, i win most of my games, and this isnt a salt post. I personally just dont see the joy in only purchasing 3 or 4 champions so you have a higher chance to get them in ARAM. And i think that this shouldnt be allowed in the game mode.

To me it is a salt post. Believe what you want. ARAM accounts are myths.

I personally dont beleive they are myths. Sure you could say "Well with 10 people in a game and only 130~ champions it makes sense that youll see some repeats" But at the same time why are the most abundant repeats teamfight monsters? It just doesnt make sense.

Believe whatever you want. That is your right. I don't agree with you, sorry.

It's like you forget about weekly champion rotation completely.

Skorch1 votes

Oh im sorry, let me rephrase that. " But at the same time why are the most abundant repeats teamfight monsters? It just doesnt make sense. Sure Champ Rotation is a thing, but if 2-3-4 people in the lobby are ARAM accounts, then there can only be so many free rotation champions.

ITS NOT LIKE THE POINT OF THESE ACCOUNTS IS TO INCREASE CHANCES OF GETTING A STRONG PICK NOT GUARANTEE IT OR ANYTHING HEHEXD

Sona doesn't have a near 70% win rate in Aram because the other team always sucks.
There are several champs like Ziggs, and lux that even reasonably proficient players hardly ever die on except when they do it on purpose to go buy.

None of this is true, you just cant intentionally int/throw or you'll be regularly reported by your team and be banned. Riot has no system to identify or report smurfs.

"WookieeCookie: We don’t endorse smurfing, but tackling it is a very difficult issue because of our player population size and the ease of account creation. We agree that smurfing can really ruin the game, such as when a smurf stomps lower-tier players. However; from past attempts we've learned that it's a real uphill battle to create powerful restrictions on alt-accounts without inadvertently affecting the majority of our players who don't smurf at all. Instead of cumbersome systems to blanket restrict smurfing we're looking for targeted answers that attack specific pain points. For example, if we find a player is using a smurf to actively hurt the game and other players we’ll take direct action on that account, and in some cases their main account as well.

Ghostcrawler: Sometimes players are smurfing because they are trying to accomplish something that League isn’t offering - in other words, the need is unmet. For example, playing with a friend with a different skill set is a noble pursuit that League doesn’t support very well. Other players might make a smurf account because they want a sense of rapid progression that they experienced when leveling from 1-30 or maybe even climbing through Bronze and Silver. So we should be careful not to paint all smurfs with broad strokes and assume that they are trying to grief actual new players. They may have other intentions. That said, taken on the whole, I’m not a fan of smurfing and worry the potential harm to other players outweighs the benefits to those players with unmet needs.

WookieeCookie: Agreed! That’s why we can’t endorse it. Instead of trying to restrict or prevent smurfs, various teams across Riot try to minimize issues caused by smurfing. For example, one of the teams that works on meta-game systems developed pretty good detection methods that quickly separate new players from experienced smurf accounts in the early levels. Within a few matches, smurf accounts only end up playing against other smurf accounts."

Im not saying INT (besides there are less obvious ways to purposefully throw games.) This also shows that Riot CAN detect smurfs at least semi-well.

Pretty sure that system is just making sure every time you have someone with a win rate in the high 60's or over, so does the enemy team. But it doesnt really do anything with the people who are trying to stay low elo because they wont have those win rates. And yes there are much easier ways to throw a game than to just die. But to any kind of algorithm riot might use, it might just look like the player has bad macro.

Let me be a necromancer real quick and just toss my 2cents in here , because im pretty sure the people defending aram accounts , either through some sort of statistic or calling em myths, are people who own aram accounts. I, too , thought it was just a salty "conspiracy" , but my last few aram games have been particularly frustrating teamcomp wise , so i checked some of the people out. Oh what do you know , None or next to none normal / ranked games? Consistent Sona / Janna / Xerath / Lux / Jhin and shit in their 20-games ARAM match history? Well damn , i guess all these guys are extremely lucky , i mean getting the same 6-7 champions 70% of the time , amongst 4 different people's 20 game match history is pure coincidence , right? Yeah , fuck people with ARAM accounts. They definately do exist , and theyre the worst kind of people.
