The issue with dodging games for more casual players
A lot of high elo figureheads I've been watching videos of have always stated that dodging is key to climbing solo q and/or ending up with better chances of a game in your favor.
Sure, it's understandable that MMR is the biggest thing that affects one's ability to climb, but this is the biggest factor which I can relate to Korean players about....
Time. That's what my theory is. (But hey, I'm bronze, so rip on me with a grain of salt if you will)
Sometimes, people like me or others just don't want to spend half an hour waiting for their dodge timer to go down, especially went paired with waiting for a game in queue. Most of us just want to play a game ASAP without wasting time dodging for a good result. This sadly, causes some low elo players to literally play into losing games where they're either paired with an infamous teammate that's a troll or someone who's autofilled into a role like jungle (me) or support.
This is because there are some people that have just no damn time on their hands, but it's is partially our own fault for not finding a great time to play the game for as long as we want. Why this also ties into Koreans? I heard from one certain post about Korean solo queue is that most of us Asians via our strict parental environments and such tend to have a lot less playtime than other people. Pair this with [insert specific time frame here]-Internet Cafes and you see why you hear about Korean solo q players opening mid much more often and being unable to play in the late game.
So yeah....who even wants to wait for 30 mins to play solo queue when you need to go to bed? (That is, if you have a very very tight schedule.)
Just throwing that out there.
