Ezreal doing 115 damage (after armor) per Q at lvl 1 with a dorans blade

Rexxiee··61 votes·11,590 views

lvl 5 with a sheen doing 230ish per Q, in 45 Q's he can 100-0 any non tank bot laner with JUST HIS 1100 range spammable Q ALONE, its like he starts lane with a fucking BF sword, reminds me of pre nerf draven.

With a utility keysotne (klepto).

How in the world this didnt get hotfixed?

RIOT HELLO, 30%+ pick rate with a 57% win rate and its going up and up, for starters revert all his Q buffs, if you cant hotfix him then just disable him so we dont lose a ban slot to this fker.

Don't worry, I'm sure said utility keystone will get butchered soon so Ezreal's winrate drops. Because Riot has always allowed their golden boy to abuse and ruin powerful on-hit/Spellblade effects for everyone else and get away scot-free.

Honestly hes just broken af atm, and klepto is too.

But even if they nerfed klepto into dirt he would still be too powerful early game, hes bullying every other bot lane without a offensive page or keystone, now imagine if he started taking press the attack?

His Q has been overbuffed into oblivion.

I just wish Riot would for once nerf Ezreal first instead of thing he's abusing, and then nerf said thing around champions who use it in a balanced way. He is the sole reason we can't have nice things; Elder Lizard, Iceborn Gauntlet, Runeglaive - name it, Ezreal got it nerfed or replaced.

Funny, I made a thread saying this exact thing and got insulted for it. real tho they just need to not let his q apply on-hit

IBG was not nerfed because of Ezreal.

Do people conveniently forget IBG Poppy/Ekko/Wukong becoming tanksassins after completing a IBG. Now IBG is better on ACTUAL tanks because of the slow field scaling with armor.

Also Ezreal was nerfed multiple times specifically when blue Ezreal was strong.

Nerf ezreal. Champ that was so bad at his role he became a jungler. Twitch, kog, xayah, cait running rampart for years but nerf ezreal. Maybe dont stand in front of your creep wave in the first place.

Weiss Guertena2 votes

Was. Past tense. He obviously is good now. And even if he wasn't - if nerfing a subpar champion is a price to pay so other champions can use items/masteries intended for them without them being balanced around a single heavy abuser, then so be it.

T4underbolt1 votes

I would rather riot focus on champions that are causing balance problems first, that were left out too strong for too long. Mastery can be changed. Champion usually gets no conpensation for item/mastery being good on him getting changed so he cant use it effeciently anymore. And i dare you to look at gp. You were already hitting people early with q anyway. With frost queen early gold item gp hits triforce at 10 minutes. Ezreal can miss q. Gp cant.

He didn't switch to jungle because he's a bad adc, he switched because he's a broken as fuck jungler because his q lets him instantly triple-tap red buff plus red smite from 500+ units with no way to play around it. Jungle Ezreal does more true damage than Vayne.

He was the worst ADC for a while.

Please, Let Ezreal have his little early-mid damage. He's not a proper ADC and never will be so late game is out of the question. Especially after the Muramana bugfix.

This guy is reaching levels that come really close to hotfix-worthy. Note that this is the data set that includes the bug fix, which happened yesterday afternoon. That means the data for 11/15 and certainly 11/16 should be with the bugfix...

EDIT: Newer info: Ezreal bug fix has not made it through testing yesterday, probably going through today.

The way data gets passed through the API, the last day is always incredibly volatile for external sites. Also the data for 11/15 only had the bugfix for around 1/8 of the whole day when you take all regions into account, and 11/16 is super super dubious. If you look at any champion on lolalytics you'll see that the last day is almost always significantly higher or lower than the day before.

ProfDrDeath2 votes

Ah, interesting. I observed that unreliability of the "current" setting for LoLalytics for the most recent timepoint, as well. But I'd still have expected to see a downward direction.

However, given that the newest info is now that the fix was not yet implemented, it explains the lack of this directional trend.

how about twitch? worlds is over and the data does suggest he is still out of line right? please just nerf him i am sick of even seeing him and now im vsing "twitch mains" who are starting to brag about how they are completely immune to nerfs.

Please kill him off he has had enough "time in the spotlight" way more then enough, nerf his damage, or increase his stealth radius to be 3 teemos larger then eves stealth radius + only grant movespeed while running towards not away from enemy's.

If i sound frustrated its because i am, I dont enjoy being killed faster then i can reasonably kill someone myself and given i main eve nobody should be out assassinating me at range with such a small stealth ring.

Ah Twitch was out of line for the entirety of season 7. Right from the very beginning lmao

Ah this is my twitch counter.

https://imgur.com/a/paEB3 The little rat can't hit what he cant see, Quinn makes it really easy since when he pops out of invis all twitch players are outside of the minion wave so you got a clear shot with Q and it has the same range or close enough of his AA range when leaving stealth.

Oh you were hoping Rito would respond again? Nah. They are shit and don't really care or ever own up to anything fucked up. They may fix it later, but won't admit it when players point it out. Riot is a piece of shit company.

i notice nowhere you say he is a problem atm (which should be obvious)

i notice the only information your giving is that our "data" is wrong

i notice nowhere you are saying he is not a problem

can we maybe get an answer on his state from you? and if our "data" is wrong then please feel free to provide some....

otherwise we got people on one side saying our datas right and their is wrong, while giving us none....while the other gives us data (that you provide mind you) and say its wrong because its not updated correctly or something?

but i guess, if we abuse something in this region its fine until everyone from every region does it

why is riot logic just so bad, always, about everything? you guys got all the time in the world to check meme's, play league, answer posts etc but i notice you guys NEVER give a solid answer on anything (if you answer at all)

like hey, turrets need buffs....they are weak and do no damage.....what does riot do? comes in and says nice meme or something dumb

id fire every one of you if i paid you to do a job and this is what i got (PR, balance team, almost everyone).....remember when riot didnt have billions and cared what we thought? s3+ that just started getting thrown out the window in bigger and bigger chunks and its sad....

all my friends have quit this game ( had at least 6 RL friends play this game) and all the same reason....maybe take a hint?

Yordle Xayah1 votes

Fair enough. I'm still curious: This may not be hot-fix worthy, but it's still very high numbers for a champion known in the past for a weaker lane phase.

Chembaron Yamada1 votes

In my opinion, the number makes sense. Jinx for example isn't strong early as well. But Riot stated in the past that if Jinx is falling below 50% winrate, something is wrong.

The reason? Jinx excels in teamfights, thanks to her AoE damage. And in SoloQ, grouping and teamfighting is a very common strategy, giving her the advantage in that environment.

Now look at Twitch. Like Riot stated (and probably everybody knows), stealth is a pretty strong mechanic in SoloQ and his ult gives him a frame in which he can be a great AoE teamfighter just like Jinx. His kit is advantageous in the environment of SoloQ. So for me, it makes sense that he has his winrate and Riot seems to not consider him out of line.

Dokueki Kenshin3 votes

Okay, Ez main here. Admitting bias right now. Also, gonna be blunt:

Ezreal is not broken. Ezreal is bugged and needs some fixes.

Ezreal did not get any additional buffs (other than this alluded spell effects proc’ing, which I still have to test myself) aside from the normal base AD increase and a 5 base damage increase on his E at all levels.

Before people rage about his win rate right now, people need to also remember that he was dumpster tier for literally most of last season. Jungle Ez was a saving grace, but for people who love Ez and don’t jungle, he was unplayable. It was literally a death sentence.

Klepto should be adjusted, yes. Ez isn’t the only one benefiting from it; Gangplank is also dominating the top lane, and unlike Ez, who falls off in the late game, Gangplank literally stomps in the late game.

And yes, Ez does also need a rework. He’s long overdue for one. I acknowledge that. But people constantly getting into fits because Ezreal gets strong is frankly frustrating at this point, especially because Ezreal is one of those few champions where EVERYTHING, bar none, is a skill shot. You can avoid practically everything in his kit with proper play.

EDIT: Another thing to consider is that most champs have lower base armor, meaning his Q does more damage.

Meep Man4 votes

Gangplank is stomping Top Lane? That's interesting.

Dokueki Kenshin1 votes

Yep. Kleptomancy synergizes super well with his passive, and his kit, particularly with barrels, has a huge amount of late game power stuffed into it.

Faceroll Tactics7 votes

His passive has nothing to do with kleptomancy.

His winrate dropped this patch.

Klepto falls off late game.

Your argument that klepto is the reason ez is strong and not Ez Himself is the typical fallback for ez players that take pride in nerfing/removing as many things as possible

GayFluffyUnicorn3 votes

No he is not. I main gp, i mained gp into D2 and GP feels way worse than before and klepto is a big noob trap.

Kloqdq9 votes

GP ain't stomping top lane. His winrate dropped for 1. Teemo has an equal play rate but a higher winrate than GP so that's a fun fact.

Klepto is overrated on GP. There are better options available to him.

Dokueki Kenshin1 votes

https://youtu.be/DaJyWdm1-6s https://youtu.be/hAkj3ZnXDTU

Please note the videos above. I know that he’s not the be all, end all for information on league, but I’ve found his information to be consistent and accurate in most cases.

Kloqdq10 votes

Problem is GP is fairly bad in lane and as you face better players people will stomp out a Critplank early. Going into Grasp and giving yourself a powerful early game and still scaling rather well into the game is just better overall. You won't 1 shot people but it's safer and more reliable.

Another large issue here is this rune falls off ultra hard from my experience. At some point you just get to a point where you aren't gaining any real benefit and it feels wasted. You are just better going for other runes that give consistent strengths that carry to late game than what Klept grabs you. Not saying Klepto is bad, just I personally see better options overall.

Dokueki Kenshin1 votes

Oh, I’m not denying that Klepto falls off; that’s a cold hard fact. It’s definitely not a good late game rune. And I get what you’re saying about Critplank, I was simply stating that a good chunk of people have been finding success with Kleptoplank. At least that’s what some of the data suggests.

Kloqdq3 votes

From what I can see just on a small surface level, he is doing worse than before but I count that to more people playing a difficult champion. In my experience, Grasp is just amazing in every way. Being able to bully out laners and go for actual trades and fights and not fear death is pretty great. Klepto is good but there is better.

GayFluffyUnicorn4 votes

Klepto on GP is the biggest noobtrap ever. No higher level player will let you Q him for free for no reason. Going dmg and trying to actually win lane against melees is the safest bet for GP. You are simply not able to sit back and scale for free. Ever since the rune changes gp feels even worse to play than before.

Lùmen3 votes

I can relate, Kleptomancy Ezreal for instance, falls off pretty hard late game in my personal experience.

My Waifu Vanilla3 votes

The point of Klepto Ezreal is to end the game before late game even shows up with your massive gold lead. Also, Ezreal inherently falls off like a rock late game compared to other people in his "natural" role (every crit based ADC outscales him). The only outlier to this is jg Ezreal who actually outscales most other skirmisher junglers at the cost of being a squishy burst poke mage thing with Duskblade.

Karn Bishop5 votes

Funny if this were an assassin like eve or ekko going out of control with a 60% win rate not only would they be either be hotfixed or disabled within a few hours there would be a detailed riot post as to why it had to be done for "game health" so get out of here with that bullcrap we all know adc have some sort of mystical protection.

Honestly both ezreal and twitch should have been disabled or number hotixed the moment it was clear they were this out of line.

heck i can argue twitch doubly so given how long he has been screwing over games only to hear the excuse we don't wanna ruin worlds so no nerfs, worlds is over where is the cripple hammer to break that rats legs? WHERE?!

Dokueki Kenshin3 votes

That’s all fine and dandy, but Twitch and Ez are NOT a fair comparison. Not even close. Like I mentioned before, Ezreal was literal garbage tier before Jungle Ez was discovered and before preseason. That is NOT indicative that there’s an issue with the champ itself. That’s indicative that there’s an issue with other aspects of the meta.

Also, mentioning Worlds doesn’t even make sense for Ezreal, considering the stark lack of notable face time he had in Worlds. Meanwhile, Twitch, Janna, Lulu, and Ardent Censer were literally all people talked about during Worlds. So yeah, definitely not a fair comparison to make.

There are simply bugs associated with Ezreal that need to be fixed, like the double Muramana proc issue. And you’re right, those need to be fixed ASAP. But don’t go screaming nerf when we haven’t even patched out all of the game breaking bugs yet.

Karn Bishop3 votes

I don't believe in protection of a champion just because they were not out of line 2 patches ago and i am sure you don't either you just a bit biased in this case.

I only suggested breaking twitches legs, i am fine with regular fixes for ezreal to put him back down to a 50-52% win rate, twitch on the other hand needs to be gutted for a bit.

Dokueki Kenshin3 votes

Yeah, if a champ is OP regardless of meta shifts, then that’s a problem. I’m just saying that I think Ezreal’s issues have less to do with him and more to do with Runes/bugs associated with the new patch. That’s why I get frustrated when people clamor for nerfs to the champion as opposed to considering other mitigating factors.

Especially with such a huge patch like this, there have been a variety of bugs, both gameplay and otherwise (I.E. Nunu’s max charge ult glitch, purchase glitches in the shop, etc.). Just think those need to be address first. If he’s still busted after that, then yes, he should get nerfed.

Karn Bishop4 votes

Problem is history has proven its almost never an issue with the items when it comes to ezreal, its usually something about ezreal that breaks a particular item or rune so why balance the rune or item around ezreal? better to just tweak ezreal and be done with it rather then guttering every other user of that rune.

Now i'm not saying that kleptomancy does not need changes but you can't argue that rune is the sole problem given ezreal is winning pre 6 trades with a non combat rune.

Dokueki Kenshin1 votes

My main argument against immediately assuming in this case that it’s Ezreal that’s the problem is because as mentioned before, he’s not the ONLY person that’s using this rune to good effect. What’s more is that the rune isn’t actually effecting any of his damage values. Like, if we look at the differences between Ezreal last season in regards to items and damage, frankly, very little has changed. +9ish base damage and +5 base damage to his E at all ranks, that’s it.

When asked to look at this from a balance perspective, I personally try to look at as many angles as possible. Like, how much has changed on the champ themselves? What has changed in the system itself? Do they have new ratios or utility in their kit? What about item changes? Are there new items that simply benefit this champ more than others? Are there other similar case studies? Is it a new play style that people simply need more time to learn to play against (I.E. Jungle Ezreal)?

OR

Is it changing the way that champion played in an unhealthy way over the long term? Has this problem still persisted despite adjusting other problem areas (I.E. Twitch/Janna/Ardent Censer)? How many other auxiliary possibilities have been proven to not have an impact on this specific issue, which would lead me to reason it is, in fact, the champion itself that’s the problem?

I simply don’t think that everything’s been taken into consideration when people decry a specific champion. Often times, a single instance or short term set of interactions often determine their opinions instead of reaching a conclusion after concerted effort to try and work around the problem or identify other more likely possibilities.

If Riot does more investigation and they do indeed find that Ez’s kit is overloaded, then fine. So be it. I just think it’s waaaaay to early to call.

NineTailedMystic4 votes

I'm fairly certain Ezreal is still doing a bit too much damage right now. You're right that it's not because Ezreal got buffed specifically but is because everyone else got squishier.

Knock down his early damage a bit and force him into a damage Rune if he wants a strong early game like now.

Observing all 3 sites, his ~49% win rate doesnt seem like that of an OP champion. It just seems to me that the keystone only enhances his fantasy as the pirate, but does not turn him overpowered either.
