Yeesh, they had you beat hard in poke. You would have great all in late game, but early on Riven is just gonna be one royal B of a gate keeper.

Looks like the problem was more your team comp than Riven. I mean Tryndamere on Howling Abyss, really?

Really if they want to nerf anything about her it should be the CD on her shield at all levels.

I occasionally play Riven myself, and honestly she is not the worst offender compared to all the other broken kits Riot has given us. The problem with Riven is that she is either very good in certain match ups, or she will lose horribly in others.

That is why I rarely ever pick her in blind-pick mode. If someone counter-picks a Garen, Darius, Lee Sin, or Cho'gath against her, there is no way for her to win lane. On the other hand, if someone decides to take Yasuo, Zed or Talon against her, that someone will have a very difficult time staying alive.

Riven has terrible poke, she has no innate health regeneration or life steal, and her engage is the same as her escape. When she is against champions who can passively get their health back or wear her down gradually, she stands no chance. However, she does have unparalleled burst and all-in potential. When up against assassins such as Zed, she can out damage and kill him.

She definitely needs a bit of a rework, especially with the level restriction on the new AD exlier, Riven can no longer try the fort pot plus 4 hp pot cheese to even out a bad lane.

As well, when she does get fed, she becomes impossible to shut down like Vayne or Draven, as she can kill someone in the .5 seconds they are stunned.
