Duskblade of Draktharr adds even more safety disengage to Zed kit....

Mid lane is already dominated by Zed...then riot adds Duskblade of Draktharr, which is a new items with a built in zed ult.

Guess what, this forces mages even more now to build and anyone else to get . Zhonyas has already been noted to be low severely cost effective and ppl don't want to buy it.

But with this new item, it looks like they have no choice. So instead of getting the item their champ really needs... they have to rush .

Good luck mid lane.... It looks like the only ppl who will have fun playing mid are Zeds only. Any other champ is not going to have fun for the entire laning phase.

Oh yea....with this item, Zeds gets even better at safe disengage as he does not have to go all out any more. He just has to pop his ult, q, AA and flash back to safety while the new item ensures he gets his kill.

lets be honest here, if he builds that item then you counter 2 things in his kit with zonyas/qss instead of 1 thing. It will probably be worse in most cases if the item is not ridiculously overtuned to build that item on zed then simply a youmous early for trading. Zed will have to ask himself if he wants to waste 2700 gold or whatever the cost is for that item just to get it countered AND his ult countered by 1 enemy item, the answer will probably be no. And no, it doesnt add savety into his kit, thats bullshit. If you want to circlejerk zed cry about his waveclear and the fact that he is the only meele assasin with an actually good laningphase and waveclearmechanic, oh and he is manaless blablabla. Ourdays the " x champ is op for reason x" threads get worse and worse, sad.

Doesn't it also offer 75 AD? Isn't that the highest out of assassin items?

It doesnt matter how much ad it gives if the ad to gold ratio is not completly bullshit. Didnt check yet. Basically 1300 gold value = 40 ad ( thats bf sword.) I checked the new item: 3250 = 75 ad , thats not a lot actually for a high end item. Stacking bf swords would actually give you more ad. The strong thing is the passive on that item and thats why its so expensive, if the enemy can counter that with qss or zonyas then a youmous will give you better stats in my opinion!

The moment you said Zed dominates midlane I stopped reading.

There are so many midlane champions that aren't even meta that completely and utterly stomp Zed in lane.

He is strong right now, at least thats a fact. But arguing the new item will give him less counterplay is bullshit. Thunderlords gave him A LOT of power in his poke and his all in combo + the latest ult buffs may have been too much. I like playing him but saying that there are champions that UTTERLY stomp him while he is the assasin with the best laning and the savest ranged farm ability is biased and wrong.

Isn't the fact that they aren't in the meta an overall good thing for Zed? Like how hypercarries become obnoxious because lane bullies are nerfed so hard/have another reason why they aren't meta?

no, im saying that even non meta midlane picks can stomp Zed just as much as meta picks can.

Hence why Zed is not a contested pick in pro play, contrary to bronze belief he is incredibly easy to destroy in lane and with 5 enemy champions it gives even more chances to counter him.

i want to try it on garen. the delay is 2 seconds, so thats most of the spin duration.

q to activate the passive, then spin and have it trigger after dealing a good amount of damage. or spin, then q, then ult should create a good amount of burst.
