You have your ADC whose job is to farm and secure turrets as per usual, but instead of them scoring kills, it is now entirely up to the support to burst down the enemy bot lane so as to clear the way for the high DPS adc.

ADC gets all the CS gold or most of it anyway while support scores most or all of the kill gold.

Plus some others I may have forgot to mention are the juicy picks for the support role since supports can no longer supplement their income adequately through support items. They must now actively steal kills from their allies, leaving behind the scraps that are the minion waves.

well here's the thing. ADCs tend to scale off the items they buy, so naturally they need as much of the income as they can get for themselves. Supports on the other hand don't need a ton of gold as they are using base values on ability damage which means they are waiting for levels to do more damage. Honestly for like the first 10 minutes of the game, Supports do more damage than their ADCs. But it's a vital trade off, as ADCs aren't meant to be strong early. Likewise, when running a mage bot lane, if you don't get off the ground as the APC, you're essentially screwed.
