Are you people seriously surprised about the sona nerfs?

She's had a 52% Win rate minimum for months, sometimes even going as high as 55%.

She takes pretty much zero skill, you faceroll between hymns and give your team auras and autowin when her numbers are decent just because her kit's that overloaded

She has sustain, poke, lane control, aoe CC, auras that give offense, defense, and utility, are you people seriously defending this champion? Nerfs are long time coming. Janna needs some too, if not way harder nerfs than sona.

You support mains are beyond delusional if you think she doesn't need nerfs, you're rewarded way too much for mashing the keyboard

And yet... her pick rate is still less than 10%. If she was as OP as you say wouldn't that be higher?

Also have you looked at Leona's stats recently? Smiliar win rate, 2.5 times Sona's pick rate.

I have never considered Sona to be OP. I have always been able to kill her fairly easily, as she is quite squishy.

Is winrate literally the only point you can make? Ok, we'll play like that.

Sona has a 52% winrate, 9% pickrate.

Leona has a **53% winrate, 23% pickrate. **. Higher winrate and almost 3x her pickrate.

Blitzcrank has a 52% winrate, 23% pickrate.

Thresh is interesting; 47% winrate, 28% pickrate. He's not underpowered in the slightest, though. Much more useful than Sona.

Taric has a 53% winrate, 2% pickrate. Let's nerf him too though he's obviously OP.

Annie has a 52% winrate, 12% pickrate.

Janna has a 53% winrate, 13% pickrate.

But nope, obviously Sona's so freaking OP right?

By going by pickrate would you want to nerf Leo/Blitz/Thresh? No? That's right, because they are in a good place for their kits, Sona, on the other hand is sitting at a slightly higher pick rate for her kit, comparable dmg and heals found in raka, who sits at a lower pick rate.

So you're saying Sona can heal just as much as Soraka when her heal does 30 points of healing at rank 1, on a 10 second static cooldown, while Soraka does 120 at rank 1 on a 4 second cooldown? It takes 3 ranks for Sona's W just to outscale even Nami's rank 1 W.

First off Raka can potentially heal 120, in reality it's often much lower.

Raka sacks health, so... she gets a boost from that.

Sona has better scaling than both and the hymns are the reason you play sona, not the skill output.

Um, no? Soraka doesn't have her old passive on the active heal on W anymore. It's literally 120 flat hp with a .6 ap ratio, while Sona's is 30 flat hp with .2 ratio, 50 flat hp (about) and .3 ratio when your ally is at around 1% of their health.

I'm not surprised, mostly annoyed that as soon as she gets some spotlight she is immediately attempted to be brought down to her second tier place.

Because she has absolutely no depth to her whatsoever? lol you pick up sona and press buttons, you can't mess up because you'll give your team free stats anyways. If she's even remotely good it's a joke to win with her because it's too easy to do well as her.

FFirebrandd4 votes

She does have depth to her. Do you realize how squishy she is? I'll give you that executing her spells isn't spectacularly difficult but she is HEAVILY positioning dependent, especially early game.

Depth in lol is an overstatement unless we are talking about cassiopeia.

Thresh doesn't have depth because he has 20 more mechanics added to his kit for example.

And the point of reworks is supposed to be to make champions easier balanceable so that they can adjust their power levels. If the final outcome is to make them second tier again, might as well not have done the rework to begin with. (not that it would be the first rework to have ended up like that.)

Sona players thought they were outplaying the enemy bot lane with their button smashing.
