Meddler said that itemization will be crucial for the rework because they want to make them to depend on some items so they destroy the tank assassin build.
they could make it like duskblade, applying the damage at the end of the 4 seconds instead of immediatly amplify the magic damage taken by the target.

Probably not.
DFG was an item the balancing team had massive issues with and kept dramatically changing every 3 months.
DFG is also anathema to spreading out an assassin's combo over at least 1 second, which is one of the balancing team's goals. The function DFG always provided giving anyone who purchased it a Rengar combo, where it's primary function was making your opponent's dead before they knew what hit them. Which also moves a wide range of champions in the opposite direction of counter-play, and giving no time for an opponent to react eradicates a lot of potential counter-play means.
Assassins certainly need a good itemization path, but DFG mostly offers problems rather than solutions.

Not saying QQ total copy of Dota 2 but that vaguely reminds me of an item known as Orchid malevolence which has a similar effect
