True Stealth even more broken than Pure Damage

If anyone remembers waaay back when challenging smite was released, it was accidentally coded to deal Pure damage instead of True damage. What's Pure damage? It's what the fountain (and only the fountain) deals which allows it to ignore all revive and invulnerable effects.

It was absolutely hilarious for one particular reason. Tryndamere was a pretty popular pick at the time. So we saw a lot of them dying to it. Almost as funny as when Tryndamere could team-kill.

Of course, that was a bug. And was fixed even despite only effecting a small pool of champions, only 6 effects in the game total. But somehow one champion is allowed to have True Stealth, which makes them untargetable for the vast majority of damaging effects in the game even if you have vision. How does that sound reasonable?

It seems like someone was having flashbacks to when Pink wards completely destroyed any attempt at stealth, but didn't think about the effects such a thing would have in a game where Pink wards no longer exist.

What is different about Akali's true steath from something like Shaco's normal stealth? Please explain. I am a little confoose. I only know that Akali can't be targetted by towers while Shaco can.

akali is obscured stealth which is immune to any vision, but shaco is true stealth which can be seen by tower since they have true vision.

That's it? Then I think that pure damage is much more OP than true stealth...

Also neglected to mention that Akali's true stealth while still being untargetable under towers she is still revealed as a ghost like figure so you can tell exactly where she is. So pretty much the only difference is that while under tower regular stealth allows champions to have targeted spells and basic attacks cast on them while true stealth does not.

Not when said true stealth can be used anywhere on the map, save for enemy fountain.

The other person who answered you has it backwards. Akali's the one with True Stealth, which makes it so that even things that grant True Sight (which normally cancels all stealth entirely), like turrets, only reveal her location without allowing you-- or more importantly, the turret-- to target her. Which isn't fair considering the vast majority of tools you could use to punish someone for diving, even just auto attacks, are targeted.
