Neeko - Pleasantly good kit, absolutely disgusting numbers

Much to my pleasant surprise, Neeko's kit actually presents a niche success case in its E and the setup around it - presenting her as an anti-backline champion who counters multiple front-line comps/hiding behind minion waves by having her E become empowered with correctly lined up shots.

Less pleasantly but not as surprising, this niche is marred down by a host of other shit - and let me tell you, these numbers are nuts.

What I'd like to focus on are Neeko's W, E and R, because they're the things that stand out to me as particularly offensive.

W - Damage on this is quite high and the fact that it is 3 hit passive (TM) makes it a potent DPS tool when Neeko buys attack speed. With Legend Alacrity and Nashor's she can machine-gun out enormous chunks of damage. Add in - it's an on-hit effect, so Guinsoo's makes it every 2nd hit after it's activated. Personally, I'm not sure I like the idea that a burst/CC mage who already has very low downtime on their basic rotation by mid-game can also transition into an AP marksman

For reference, damage is 50/80/110/140/170 (60% AP)

E - By rank 4 of the spell, landing E regardless of whether you hit 2 units before a champion does not matter - your ult is guaranteed. The root pre-powerup should not be 1.5 seconds on champions. That's really it. You create an interesting minigame with the way it gets stronger the more enemies you throw it into, but regardless of whether you actually hit enough people to power it up or not, everyone hit is guaranteed to get hit by immediate follow-up from your R. Especially considering her innately fantastic synergy with initiators due to her mimicry, Neeko having unconditional 2.75 seconds of hard CC, or a conditional 4.25 seconds, is simply too much on her own.

I don't mind it being a 3 second root with the caveat of having to pass through 2 enemies before it hits me. That's interesting and gives her unique niche to play. The not-conditional stuff tagged onto this is, however, not OK. It should be, at best, .75 seconds on champions.

I will add though that this ability might be bugged or the tooltip is worded weird. I haven't noticed it snaring -less- when throwing it into a crowd of multiple champions.

R - If not the E, then I think R shouldn't stun, or at least it should be reduced to ministun status. Maybe nerf both, honestly. Neeko should have to make the choice to go in and take a risk; it's a massive nuke off base damage alone and also has a 130% AP scaling. If she's going in hard with that AOE wipe attack, she should not be rewarded for your surviving it by stunning you long enough to make sure her/her team can finish you off. Especially when she self-shields while it goes off and can reposition beforehand.

The concept of Neeko's kit is not as bad as I'd expected. I would even give the execution a thumbs up. But the numbers... my god, these numbers. You NEED to take a heavy hammer to her numbers. Nobody needs this much CC, let alone a mage.

played her for about 20 minutes total before she got disabled, can confirm that her kit isn't overloaded, she just has too much damage right now. She doesn't seem like a balance nightmare like most of the newer champs

I'd rather see her CC go down than her damage

For a champion who already has such good synergy with CC champs thanks to her mimic passive and her hefty AOEs, being able to stunlock you herself seems excessive

and why u skipped her scaling on q/e which is really low? (Q 50% first hit/20% second and third, E 40%)

because that doesn't really matter when she has a 3-hit passive that hits for 170 plus 60% AP and she buys attack speed to proc it constantly

Her W cool down is high tho , building attack speed will be a waste for ap and other items her E is surely an annoying ability in lane and trading but it's no way near of being able to guarantee to hit her Ult her Ult what has disgusting numbers but , after seeing the amount of counter play it has , it feels fairly balanced for a mage in late game to deal 1500 damage with her Ultimate that has an obvious counter play , surely 1500 isn't a small number , but in late game there are a lot of abilities that can do the same damage her Ult is easy to deal with like , if you have item 3111 , even if she manages to E root you ,Her ultimate after waiting 2 seconds , the 3rd second she will be immobile , and you have a 1 second window to run , if you have MR boots , and got rooted by her , you can actually still flash away even if it was the lastest second she is fairly immobile and the ms she gets from her W won't help her at engaging at all , her Ultimate is an engage ability but it feels clunky , you need flash Flash in fights every single time , while her Ult is a bit similar to Kennen , Kennen has some MS burst to help him with her current Ult and kit , she might be annoying for front liners , but she is really useless against back lines and can't do much except throwing her Q on them and Front liners are mostly Tanks and champions who build MR , and for a champion that has no true damage , she is fairly countered by MR

Her cool downs are high , while I hope she doesn't get buffed but , at her current state , Riot might even buff her lol You should try playing her and you will understand

buying nashor's isn't a waste for AP at all, lol. you'll get far more value out of nashor than you will most AP items beyond your cores unless you're settling for a tanky-AP build

you don't need flash. just take phase rush and ult hat or predator and you'll have 0 issue getting your ult on people

You should try playing her and you will understand

imagine actually thinking neeko needs buffs with numbers as batshit as this? I have played her, i think you're the one doing something wrong if you couldn't figure out how insane she's going to be
