So about the next Class Update...
Watching your live streams @riot on twitch, you spoke about how the next class update will most likely be Tanks and at first i had agreed with you but then i read this.
Now while i can't say i absolute agree with everything there is something i think should be said. The way you guys are going about making the Support Role more fun is wrong. Bluntly, the way your trying to fix it is by adding in items/mechanics which give supports the ability to feel more impactful. While that sounds like the right way at first in the long term it limits the entirety of the class a whole and prevents them from changing gameplay wise, it also limits the types of supports you can make for fear of game balance issues.
So i actually think it would be an AMAZING idea to rework the support role instead and here's why.
Most champions in the support role are actually just flat out boring, they don't have much in their kits that let's them make play's and more often than not are also only good for supporting. Take Soraka for example, i don't know anyone who actually enjoy's pressing W on the ADC for the entire game, that's boring. But then we look at dynamic Supports such as Bard, Braum(i like to play braum) and Thresh the champions all have plenty of playmaking tools, don't need constant balance updates(usually) and are actually really fun. Sometimes i loves me a bard game or a braum game and i'm mid laner for god's sake.
I really think that a class update is in order to make all the Pure Supports(champions made to be supports) more like Bard, Thresh and Braum. They need to have playmaking potential and have fun mechanics that help make the role less linear and boring. This way we don't have to make overloaded Items to compensate for the lack of impact supports have and don't have to work really hard to make them relevant while mages slowly start to creep them out of their own role.
That is all.
