It feels so fair that Yasuo can use abilities and auto attacks on enemy champions during his ult

Champions who weren't affected by his ult.

He sends a tornado which hits my ally that I'm standing about 400 units away from (and I dodged it). Yet for whatever reason, his ult throws him not only between me and my ally, but actually closer to me. I'd reckon he was about 150 units from me and 250 units from my ally.

As soon as he appears, I charm him. The charm connects. Then I die to his Q and auto. All within 0.5 seconds, and all while he has my ally suspended, while I wasn't hit by the ultimate.

Seriously, I dodged the tornado - why is he blinking closer to me than to his target, and then able to auto attack and Q me instead of the target he's suspending?

Are people really surprised why this champion gets so much hate?

Video or match history, please. I seriously doubt you died to a Yasuo in 0.5 who wasn't fed off his ass, and in that case, of course you're going to get annihilated.

I didn't say I was full health... I was close to dead. The point is I dodged his knock-up, but he still gap-closed on me because he "blinked to my ally" but ended up closer to me than my knocked-up ally...

How is that any different from being hit by any other engage ability though? It's a gapcloser, even if he didn't wind up closer to you he could have just flashed or E'd on to you by going through minions or other teammates.

Yasuo also has to have a specific form of CC to even use his ult, so if anything it's more fair when compared to Kai'sa, Zed, Akali, Vi, etc.

My point is he hit his gap closer on my ally, who was outside of melee range of me. Yet for whatever reason, Yasuo's gap closer doesn't place him on the person he hits, it places him elsewhere.

If he had to burn flash to get on top of me afterwards, I wouldn't be complaining...
