The tear of the goddess issue

I'd like to know what riot's reason is for being only able to buy 1 tear of the goddess item. Is it because many people would buy tears to troll when they are salty? Because there are actual legit builds that aren't bad with multiple tear builds.

Example? Look at ezreal. I main the guy and he benefits from both ap and ad. Both tear items give either ad or ap and also... MANA. Do you know how much mana you can actually have with 2 tear items? It's not just the mana for using, but having a higher mana pool means more bonus stats from the muramana and seraphs. They actually synergized together and synergized really well with ezreal.

Ezreal is not the only champ who could benefit from this. Ryze is also another champ who could benefit from the mana. You get 1000 mana when you fully complete a tear, that only spells a really good item on ryze and ezreal. But there's also blitz who could get a giant shield from his passive. Kassadin could get off an extra fully stacked ult or 3 because of that extra mana.

That goes to my next question. Did riot take away our ability to have multiple tear items because they thought it was op? Because as far as I know, most people don't buy multiple tear items often except for a few champs who scale well from it and usually at most they only buy 2 tear items no more than that. The only other reason is they are salty and troll their teammates. So what is the actual reason? Too op? Or people abuse buying it to troll? Or both? What is it?

Regardless of the reason, I have a really good solution to the problem. Instead of making it that you could only buy 1 tear item only. Make it so that you are able to purchase another tear only after fully stacking a completed tear item. So say you have muramana and it becomes fully stacked, then you are allowed to buy another tear and stack it. This wouldn't change anything from the old tear as with the old tear, even if you had 6 tear of goddess in your item slot, only 1 would stack at a time. Once that tear is fully stacked, the next would would stack after. So Using this new method, you can have people not able to troll spam 6 tear of goddess at end of game, while those like me who want to buy multiple tear items without the purpose of trolling aka ezreal with seraphs and manamune.

TLDR: Why did riot change it so we can only buy 1 tear item? A good solution is to make it that you can purchase a second tear of goddess after fully stacking and completing the tear item aka muramana and seraphs. This way trolls cant qq buy it and those who intentionally want it as a strategy can do so aka ezreal with muramana and seraphs as he scales with both decently so it's not really a troll build.

Ezreal was basically the reason why as people said but the real reason was how ezreal's kit works as well as his damage.

So when you look at how ezreal built with the double tears it gave him a massive amount of AD and AP as well as on-hit damage and it made him very difficult to play against because you couldn't itemize defensively at all, you build armor? So what he has Seraph's and a gunblade, you build mr? so what he has Seraph's a gunblade and muramana.
You have hard engage? So what Ezreal blinks away, You have finally got ezreal to burn his blink? So what he has a 2k Shield u have to break through as well as dmg and healing.

He was essentially a 1 man army with the build and honestly it took a while for people to figure it out but when they did it made him THE ADC and made it really tough to beat him with how much safety he has

if i remember correctly, he had something like a 55% winrate when that build became popular, the moment they restricted the tears he went down to a normal 50% -ish

It was removed because double tear ROA was incredibly strong.

Getting 2.5k mana, 20% cdr a shield and extra damage from your autos from just 2 items is a bit unhealthy for the game to say the least. It would make ezreal pick/ban in every elo because he would be abused way too much. It's just 2 items and he is going to have mana to stay in lane for the next 10 billion years. He can then buy a trinity and some damage item and he's set.

How will Kassadin and Ryze benefit from a second tear? I don't think anyone will want to sacrifice a slot for a damage item.

because ezreal could abuse both, anyone surprised?

Because Riot was finding the double tear builds unhealthy or something like that. Or maybe it was because the only two champions who could do it (Kassadin and Ezreal) were strong at the time, because of that build.

I don't actually remember, it was a long time ago.

None of those champions would buy both Manamune and AaS if it were an option.

you can still do double tear builds, rito just made them harder to stack.

Riot limited Ezreal's build so he is slightly less broken instead of nerfing him directly and hurting their skin sales.
