@Riot Who thought the Juggernauts were a good idea?

Because they're not.

Who the hell wants to play against a champion that does assasin levels of damage, but is as difficult to kill as a tank? Because that must have come up at some point in one form or another and everyone was apparently okay with it, because you've not only turned 4 existing champions into this insipid class (and alienated an entire champion's playerbase in the process) but you've just released another, built from the ground up!

What the hell are you smoking? Because whatever it is, it's obvious it inhibits common sense.

Might as well copy this into here and make a cohesive argument.

The problem I have with Juggernauts is that they trade nothing for what they have. Lemme lay it out like this.

Assassins/Burst Mages. They can 100-0 someone just like that clicks fingers But they're squishy, and often times have minimal CC. (Assasins more so in that department)

Tanks. They don't really deal huge amounts of damage, not bursty nor do they have anything over time like an ADC. But they're hard to kill and have CC.

Assassins trade durability. Tanks trade damage.

Juggernauts. They're capable of chunking down large groups of champions in an expedient manner. They're a pain in the ass to kill. They have the advantage of both the previously mentioned classes. They have the CertainlyT champion problem. They're good ENOUGH at anything they need to do, but don't trade anything for it.

Now I know the general response most will give, "They have a hard time catching people". Now that's a legitimate weakness. Would in fact balance out the above points in a meaningful way. Except they don't have a hard time catching people.

Garen has a speed boost with a silence on the end along with AoE DoT. Let's not forget his ult isn't melee.

Darius , doesn't even need to get close because he has that pull which (at least when I play against him) feels like it can pull from half a mile away. And he has a stacking speed boost on his Q depending on how many people he hits. And if you're anywhere close he WILL hit you with it. It's not much, but it still gets him around ontop of a slow.

Skarner has a speed boost like Garen, and two hard CCs with a slow, not to mention those spires which give him a hefty speed boost. YES their range is limited, but wait, he gets another speed boost when he stuns someone.

Mordekaiser ....actually as much as CertainlyT butchered that champion and treated his fanbase with giggling contempt, is actually the only one who falls within the Jugger classification. He genuinely has a hard time catching people. No CC, no mobility. He's still got a kit that's worse than it was in the first place, but I digress.

Illaoi has hard mobility in the form of a dash. And she's like Darius in the same way she doesn't need to be near her opponent because of Test of Spirit, both during and after the spirit's duration if the target becomes a vessel since the tentacles can do damage from miles away.

So they don't have hard time catching people (Morde the obvious exception), and in fact have the tools they need to catch people, alone, and with relative ease compared to what Riot claims they're poor at.

Oh dear.... I think someone was late to the party....

Your point? They're still a stupid class. Sure they may not be flavour of the month anymore but neither is Yasuo, and people haven't stopped hating him since release.

So where's your answer to that anomaly, Mr Smartass?

No one plays Mordekaiser anymore.

No one plays Skarner anymore.

Darius isn't anywhere close to the best Top laner any more.

Garen continues to be a basic champ who is very easy to counter.

Only champ I haven't really dealt with yet is Illaoi, and her problem is more likely the fact that she's brand new and thus likely to be overtuned. Give it a patch or two and I'm sure she'll drop down.

Mordekaiser was, and still is a mess of a champion.

Skarner....yeah I agree on that one.

Darius may not be flavour of the month anymore but it doesn't make him any less of an asshole of a champion to play against.

Garen still deals disgusting amounts of damage for how tanky he is. Even more so than before.

Illaoi is just deep fried bullshit even if she wasn't so horribly over-tuned.

Face it, the Juggernauts were, and still are, a fucking awful class design.

Darius has always been an asshole of a champion to play against. That has nothing to do with him being a Juggernaut or not.

Garen is in a good spot. I main him, he was the first champ I ever picked up in League. I know him inside and out. I've been there for the Sunfire stacking, the Black Cleaver stacking. He needed the update something fierce. He got a lot of power, but he also gave up a fair bit. Could he still use a little tuning, sure. Some of his numbers could probably use a little tweaking, but overall Garen is in a very good spot. People like to complain about his ultimate dealing true damage to a target and 'deleting' squishies. In order to hit that oft-complained 1K True damage, Garen's target has to be missing 1,625 hp. For most squishy targets, at that point he's gonna kill you with just the base damage on his ult. The extra damage is overkill at that point.

Garen can't just walk up to a full-health target and instantly delete them with his ult. If you want to tackle THAT bag of worms, go talk to Veigar.

I play jg Skarner still. A devestating force he is.

I hope Illaoi has opened people's eyes. Just watch MagikarpUsedFly's video on Illaoi: it's hilarious. In one part of the video the Shyvana can't even go into lane because of the Illaoi infection.

Thank you! Nice to see I'm not the only person who sees how fucking horrible this class is.
