Poll: 20 min loss or 3 min wait?

Let's hear it from the community. Would you rather play an entire game after being autofilled into a role you didn't want to play, or wait a little for someone who actually wanted to play Support? Keep in mind that with the new ban system, removing autofill would only increase queue times back to what they were with the old ban system. We've already gotten used to the time it would take.

The fact no one wants to play Support is the issue here, not longer queue times. They keep up this facade that they care about queue times when they really just don't want to put in the effort to make support a desirable role.

I don't really care if I get autofilled because I can play a couple champions well in each role, but "reducing queue times" as a positive for autofill seems dumb to me. It's not like I queue for mid/top and then immediately get autofilled into support after 15 seconds.. Instead, it still makes me wait 2-4 minutes before, surprise! Autofilled.

That, or I get placed one of my roles, then someone dodges two champ selects in a row, and then bam, autofilled support.

Support main here.

Truly ALL I play is support. I feel GETTING RID of auto fill would be amazing. A god sent honestly. (I have been kicked out of support role for another support before like WTF riot -.-)

Honestly they should make it so you que for your roles and you just wait till you get in a game that the players all have their designated roles they wanted. So stupid. Would get rid of toxicity by a lot as well.

LoL has had autofill for years, you just gotta get used to it

Yorick, Taric, Urgot have been unpickable for years. You just gotta get used to it. They don't make changes to the game ever.

no they haven't, at most they have been unpickable for a couple of days when they get disabled because of bugs

Yorick was completely impossible to pick for a few years if you didn't own him, because he was banned from the free rotation.

My point is that they make changes. Maybe saying, "you've had to call your role in ranked and hope no one autolocks it for years," would make more sense to you.

Rather have teambuilder back, at least you waited to play something you wanted.

i like the old way ranked worked pick order decided roles it made people have to be all around good players not just someone who is a yasuo one trick

The only way to fix the support situation is to fix the adc situation first

Meaning bringing them in line with the rest of the classes, opening up the support to be more of a team support rather then the adc's bitch like the rest of the team. this would also allow for more agency to be put into the supports hands directly as opposed to being tied to some other class

Riot favors adc too much to do this so it will never happen Evidence for this si all the class updates they did

So better get used to autofill and playing special snowflake and the 4 dwarves

They've got a model to follow with Smite. In that game, the support roams started from level 3-4.

I rather wait few extra minutes than play a role i am not prepared for. Mostly because my loss will the team's loss which brings frustration to 4 other people alongside me.. If queue time were not to drastically increase due to removal of autofill then i actually believe and think that waiting a few more minutes in queue is much better.

3 minute wait? it's probably more like 10-20

It wasn't before they added autofill.

Last season they had dynamic queue which helped ease the problems with role selector. And they STILL had to add autofill back to high and low elos because games simply weren't getting off the ground. And even in silver elo you would occasionally get very long queue times if you weren't support in the 10+ minute range.
