fizz is honestly just stupid

I got Fizz as my mystery champ. Right as I finished my AS Jungle rune page.

I guess I've faced so much cancer that I've become one with the cancer.

The sad thing is that, while Fizz has a horrible design based on using untargetability to deny counterplay... many recent champions have had even worse design, to the point Fizz almost seems "fair".

My problem with Fizz is that his "weak" early game is mitigated by just running flask + 3 red pots. He becomes unkillable -.-

He's just infuriating to play against. In mid lane he can literally throw himself at the enemy mid and do it again and again until they're low enough to be killed because his W gives so much free damage.

I'm not sure about other roles, but with his untargetability, execute % damage, and two gapclosers I'm sure he's just as obnoxious.

My biggest problem with Fizz is that he can gapclose a distance of like 10 flashes. And if he's fed and you're anywhere within that ten flash range, you're dead.

Anyone with a move that essentially says: "Dodge anything" follwed by "AoE Damage" is pretty stupid.

Actually i feel his design to be successful. Annoying and fustrating for sure, but he is an assasin/fighter and he need to be like that. He need to have tools to dive the back line and stay alive otherwise the champion design is a failure. I also think after they gutted his insane lich bane powerspike he is more or less balanced. In competitve sceene he is a viable pick, while in soloq he is strong, but not insane (48-50% win rate). There is no reason to touch him, he has strenght and weaknesses also. It is fustrating to play agains him, but it's not a reason for nerf ot rework. It it would be then more than half of the champion pool should get a rework. Also he is viable in multiple roles what is another success, since he bring nice strategic diversity to the game. So yeah i think his design is not the best but fine and successful after the nerfs. Fizz, like any other assassin, bursts people down when they land their abilities. The only reason fizz isn't trash tier yorick status is because of that E of his, although it's strong, it has an insanely high mana and it's his only real damage ability. Fizz as a champion has only all-in damage, no poke, every ability can be dodged (even his Q). It's either he has the damage or he's dead. every other assassin in this game has a better early than him.

Hate Fizz? Play . No fish is too slippery for that guy.

He goes invincible on every viable skillshot and make it to where you exhaust your resources so you cant fight him anymore. You literally have to read his reads and outplay him that way. A very difficult task for lower skill player to achieve.

Fizz is counterable just like any other assassin, though he can be infuriating because he's an assassin, people are complaining "OH NO HE DOES DAMAGE!" when that's what he and all other assassins are designed specifically to do, but "HE'S SUPER MOBILE" again, what assassins are designed to do. I agree that riot should not have made AD and tank fizz a thing, but people will always complain about the assassin build for some reason. Here are a few ways to counter assassin Fizz (or avoid playing against it)

1. Gank him early (at early levels his E which gives him .5 seconds of untargetability on a 13 second cooldown)
2. Play around his E (If it's up don't go in)
3. Ban him
4. Camp him
5. Pick Morgana or Kayle or another counter
6. pick point and click lockdown

Here is the solution to Fizz. Magic Resist. If he's AD and jungle you still need MR. What seems to be a failure of understanding is that Fizz is easily shut down by either hard targeted CC or by magic resist. Every skill he has is magic damage. He can become an ineffectual little nuisance if, as soon as you see him on the other team, you exchange one item you planned on having for some MR. HP won't save you against him when he is AD unlike other ADC, however when he is AP it will.

You merely have to adjust your play style because he is on the board... I'm absolutely certain no one ever does that for any other champion. Who cares if there is a Karthus, Nasus, Blitzcrank, Thresh... wait we adjust for those without complaint.

EDIT: HP won't save you when he is AD because he will have a BotRK and his W, he will kill you just as efficiently with or without HP, sorta like Vayne.

I think the fact that his passive is absolutely garbage makes up for it

Yet another prime example of why we need 1 ban per player, so that people like you and me who have distinct hatred for a specific champion (mine being Yasuo) have the opportunity to ensure that we can still have slight fun while playing a game.

Fizz doesn't even do alot of damage. The only thing I HATE about him is his troll pole. Its ridiculous. He just troll poles under tower after he is done ulting you, avoiding TONS of damage in the process. You will probably die and he will walk away pretty unscathed and then rinse and repeat all damn game. Can barely even gank him unless he is at your tier 2 tower, because he will just troll pole back under his.
