RIP Aurelion Sol

Center of the Universe (Passive): [no gameplay change but tooltip now specifies - "The Stars can be visible to enemies even if Aurelion Sol is in brush"]

http://www.surrenderat20.net/2016/03/315-pbe-update.html

With the tooltip now explaining the stars will be visible to foes even if you're in a bush, it looks like him being incapable of hiding is intended, so he'll never be viable. What a shame.

EDIT: Look, I get he has essentially a Sion ult as normal abilities, but think about it. You can't be as useful if your team wants to bait baron on dragon. You can't pull a turn-about if you lead someone chasing you through a bush, you can't help anyone else trying to lead people into you if they can see you in the bush the other guy is running into, etc.

Big deal? He can't sit directly in a bush, he'll still be very viable as all of his skill set save his ult scales off of range.

Except he doesn't need to hide. He has range, he has CC, he has knockback, and with his E can fly in from a significant distance.

Aurelion Sol can do the brunt of his damage just by being near someone, and with a single spellcast can expand that range and damage a significant deal. That has to come with a cost. Would you prefer fighting something along the lines of a Nunu ult, walking into an area and then taking damage without any idea as to where the damage is coming from? That's not clarity in any sense of the word, which Riot strives for.

Besides, look at Aurelion Sol's character. You think someone like that is going to be willing to hide in bushes?

Aurelion really, really doesn't care as seen in Beta.

I agree his passive showing in brush is a pretty bad decision on Riot's end, however with Aurelion's long range engage with E I don't think this will be much of a problem.

Who needs to hide when you can jump into a lane from halfway across the map on a normal ability?
