Am I the only one who thinks Anivia is insanely frustrating to lane against?
I'd rather lane against Yasuo and Zed at the same time than that stupid bird.

Yasuo no, but I'd take Zed over Anivia any day. Zed's pretty easy to lane against now.
Hmm, she's not top of my list of concerns but she is annoying. I understand this is kinda her niche, bit she's extremely difficult to win any kills off of in lane thanks to her passive. She's as strong as most champions with just one life, and if you do manage to win an early trade, the egg often assures her that you either back off or die to minion damage. Post 6, just forget about it and farm.
I'd rather face a duo lane troll mid than Anivia too ;D
Slightly annoying, but the nice thing about going against Ani is that she is sloooooowwww and extremely mana hungry early game. A small handful of missed Qs (also slow!) and she's out of mana to do much against you but harass with weak (yet long range) AAs.
The trick with her is to get your farm on between her Q cooldowns, and punish relentlessly the moment she either gets out of position or runs out of mana. The Q is a skillshot, so just juke left or right (a bit further than you think you might need to, it's got a slight AOE) and you'll be fine.
Late game is a different story. Once she has her build together, she can keep her R up almost indefinitely, has enough CDR to make getting hit by the Q painful (because it's immediately followed up by an R at your feet, a W behind you, and an E that destroys half your life bar), and very little down time.
Ah but here's the cool thing, if you survive all that? She's literally blown every ability she has and you've got about 10 seconds to get out of the R field and get in her face.
Anivia is a pain if you're melee or don't have many ranged spells. Without a way to reliably punish her, she can harass without too much worry because even if you popped her passive it's unlikely you have the continued ability to destroy her egg given that you may have your abilities on cooldown or it's in a safe location.
Granted I'd still prefer to fight her over Zed or Yas, because I honestly feel like I can make her waste mana and make my farm easier. Her stun combined with the icicle hurts like a bitch, but that's usually the point of her combo.
Just pick Ahri into her and she can never stun you. your Q into hers and you escape undamaged.
Also Ekko..
Her Q isn't the issue. It's R+E point and click for 1/3-1/2 your life lol.
She cannot do this until she has items.
Just tear is all she has at 6 in lane when you need to kill her.
As soon as you do grab a negatron Cloak and never look back. She can no longer kill you until LATE game.
Yeah, but its a losing/farm lane. Your JG can't reliably help you unless the enemy jungler is shut down super hard due to the threat of counter gank from Anivia/JG being much nastier, meanwhile the enemy JG is a constant threat to you if you over extend. Not so much Ahri, she just ults out, but for a lot of other matchups I mean.
Anivia is very easy to play against in lane phase once you have played a fair bit of her to know what she wants to do in lane (In most matchups this is the case, doesn't apply to melees really).
Anivia is seen as a late game mage but to be fair, she is a lane bully to anyone who is melee and there's really nothing you can do besides take it and beg for more.
