Resolve on marksmen in 2019

Let's see what we can get there, since now stats are not tied to the tree you choose with runes. Many marksmen tend to scale into late game, and are getting bullied really hard by Lucian Draven MissFortune right now, trying to think about what can be possible.

First of all, I don't think resolve will be good on Xayah , this champ tends to have killing pressure and does not have trouble surviving the lane you should probably keep going precision primary. same with Kaisa

Caitlyn probably the one who will look into resolve, explination: Caitlyn has the lowest base attack speed in the game, with 0.543 since patch 7.11, her attack delay is the 2nd highest amongst marksmen (behind graves). Building attack speed on her will be less efficient than on other marksmen. With this there is no keystone that syngerises well with her in the precision tree. If you happen to go into resolve, you can get grasp, and with this a lot of things can happen. Grasp can allow caitlyn to poke laners harder, sustain more With resolve you can get shield bash, and combine it in late game with item 3080 shield, and legend bloodline+overheal in early game. And it also works on ally's shields, which means you can combine resolve caitlyn+ Janna shield giving bonus AD. Then, overgrowth has been buffed for squishy champions! , it will give now 3 hp every 8 minions, instead of 0.2% max hp every 8 minions (with 2.5% bonus max hp at 120 minions)

Quinn Aftershock quinn will be a strong option, but I do not know well quinn which means I cannot know if the like of resolve runes will be stronger than domination runes (remember that stats are no longer tied to trees).

Twitch once again, someone who will be better looking at resolve than precision. Twitch is frontloaded, which means lethal tempo is worse on him than on other carries like KogMaw Kalista , and he can't proc it from far away like Varus . Press the attack is the best option right now, but Twitch has literally no laning presence at all. His W costs too much mana and has a long cd, his E base damage has been nerfed, it's quite hard to answer back to trades as twitch especially since you need to hit a lot of time to deal damage with E (someone like jhin can just hit once and run away, and win trade because his AD is higher) . With this said, grasp+second wind can help him in early to reach late game, overgrowth can help him in mid game against assassins. The only problem is that shield bash will be weaker on him than on caitlyn.

Well that's it, I do not have any more idea. You can try resolve on Vayne Tristana to help them in early game, but I think they would quite lose a lot of power from the lack of precision keystones not sure tho.

the overgrowth nerf is riots entire balance team in a nutshell.

with every change they do to the system, they completely tunnel vision.

instead of asking "how do we make this rune good?" they ask "how do we make this good on adc" and completely disregard how this change affects any champion who builds even a single health item, and that theyre effectively trashing an already below mediocre rune and make it completely unviable for them.

the same with shield bash. they make a rune thats effectively even possible to trigger on a handful of champions, because they wanted to make a rune specifically for these champions, and leave every single other champion who goes into resolve without a choice in that row. almost everyone who goes into resolve primary now has to pick demolish, because the other 2 runes are not an option.

I just don't see Cait going Grasp. The returns for ranged are just too low to bother.

Now, DH, on the other hand, I could definitely see, especially since it procs on all damage done at the threshold. Meaning her R gets a solid execution buff, as does her Q, and she has enough range to still get an auto on someone who's low, and frequently in lane. Also, if you've gotten in close range to her (the point her extra HP would start to matter), she's probably lost the fight already unless you're about dead or constantly running into her W, so the HP won't make a real difference.

She could run it super well imo.

Quinn still likes Domination. Electrocute is still strong on her in lane because of it being free bullying, and Predator always works well on her despite seeming like pure memes.

Twitch should probably still go Precision, for Tempo or Press the Attack.

Honestly, new Overgrowth would probably help Vayne more than any other ADC, given her outright tiny base health pool and her short range.

but the return is lower because ranged champs procs it more often=?

but cait doesn't care about executing, and her ult is almost inexistent and has always been. She just uses it most of the time to poke having a rune making her poking harder is something she cares about tho
