Riot, just keep in mind what ruined WoW...
You're doing it too...

Except WoW remains the #1 MMO still. I mean, if #1 is considered a failure, what is your standard for "a success"?
It's genuinely sad to me that people actually still play that atrocity.
Blizzard got bought out by Activision, and everything about that game's soul got dumped in the gutter. It turned into a pure money-milking greed adventure because they figured out that addicted people keep spending money and will spend even more money on side transactions for mounts/pets/etc.
And they've lost any and all creative ability and basically are forced to defer to YOU'LL NEVER CLOSE THIS PORTAL NEPHELIM! uh.... I mean... uh.. YOU'LL NEVER CLOSE MY OTHER PORTAL NEPHELIM... Oh uh.... hold on let me freeze this final boss fight in the middle of it so I can yell NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO okay now we can fight.
Fuck, how the mighty have fallen
What was it?
Was it the raid or die mentaliy of Vanilla?
The removal of outdoor PvP?
The hardcore Grand Marshal/High Warlord Grind of the original Honor system?
Naxx 40 being too hard?
The addition of flying mounts?
The removal of 40 mans?
Heroics being harder than raids?
Burning Crusade's attunements?
Unfair Arena balance?
Dailies giving casuals too much money?
New players/characters getting stuck in BC's "gear gap"?
Being forced to farm Karazhan for badges?
Sunwell's super hardcore raid stacking making most classes/specs useless?
Getting ganked on your alt priest while doing Isle dailies?
Naxx 25/Tier 7 being too easy?
The addition of server first titles?
Ulduar being too hard?
Algalon being time restricted?
ToC getting released too early?
Having to do ToC Dailies?
The removal of server first titles?
Content getting gated?
ICC lasting for a year?
Lootship randomly despawning mid encounter?
Resto druids being really bad on Heroic Lich King?
Azeroth getting flying mounts?
Cata's Tier 14 being really buggy at launch?
Ragnaros having legs?
Firelands being really boring?
Firelands Dailies?
Having to 3 heal 25H Ragnaros?
Dragon Soul lasting a year?
Outhealing your main on your alt Priest?
Diablo 3 being terrible making the Annual Pass a lame deal?
Pandas?
VP vendors requiring dailies?
Not being able to grief World Bosses?
Heart of Fear's Touhou Boss.
New dailies?
I personally quit after feeding an AD LeBlanc in a Draft game.
And it wasn't just all that. There's also the fact WoW has an unstable subscriber base. Whenever they release a new expansion, they get tons of subscribers, but as soon as everyone finishes said content, then it drops back to usually where it was before.

making the game to easy to play and then making the game easier than easy to play. then getting lazy with balancing that lead to a pvp dysfunction that lead to people not wanting to play the top 3 classes...
Correct me if I'm wrong. You're complaining because a game well known for being "raid or die" didn't support your alternative play style? As for the game turning "easier", I can tell you didn't do 25H raids, you'd think Blizzard made the game too unforgiving/twitchy.
You should be glad that PvP is the main game in League of Legends.
what ruined wow besides making it too easy and the insane amount of gating through farming in MOP

homogenization and pvp imbalances, which killed off the entire pvp scene coincidentally, they also lost over half their subs around this same time its just a minigame tho np
you know these two things together make no sense to me.
if things are getting more homogenized, then the imbalances wouldnt exist, if it is getting more unbalanced than it cant be getting homogenized.
unless im missing something

Wrong. Homogenisation amplifies minor differences. When every champ does the same thing, you pick the one that's 1% better at it.
Well that's vague...
