Is Nasus ever getting a real rework?
Just wondering. There's something a little unhealthy about a champion who only farms...... and then gets a free win because of it.
They had the sense to remove Feral Flare for that exact reason.
Nasus's kit hasn't had any changes for four years, and it's boring to play as--even with the ease of winning involved-- or against.
It all revolves around his Q and its zero-risk-all-reward style. 99% slow so you can reach and hit things with your Q. Armor reduction so you can hit things harder with your Q. A passive that counts your Q for its healing. An ultimate that brings up the damage of none of your abilities besides your Q, and gives you health so you can sit there and wait for its cooldown before you Q. You can build full tank even if you're 1-8, which will keep you alive long enough to--you guessed it-- Q.
There's no item in the game to defend towers from his Q. There's nothing to prevent him from buying tank so the towers deal little damage to him.
There's a Nasus main in master tier, so it's obvious he's not just a low-ELO free win champ. He's playable even at the highest level, and champion difficulty doesn't increase with rank. The same exact methods are applied, just with more attention to surroundings. (Note, since apparently that wasn't clear--I'm not saying he's freewin in high elo. I'm just saying that's what he is in low)
They should do a full kit rework so that he's not---paraphrasing the Master player-- only capable of overpowering splitpushing, with little strength in a team fight. Maybe make him feel like an actual god of the desert instead of just that champ you tell you friend to pick so they can learn how to win by doing nothing but farming.
Maybe give him CC to synergize with his usual full-tank build and make him better in a team, instead of just allowing him to delete towers while shrugging off their damage.
EDIT: If you don't know; Nasus's strength is in being a near-unrivaled split-pusher. This means that he relies on allies winning their lanes so that the enemy jungler can't focus on him early, and having enough of an advantage to survive or win 4v5 teamfights while he split-pushes. That's why he's not a completely guaranteed win.
That's why any specific champion isn't a guaranteed win; it's a team game. But a champion's aged kit shouldn't remain that way based solely on win rates.
