Wait, didn't Riot say they were changing Make It Rain's gameplay?
Can we get some insight to what happened to that change?
Also, why remove Grievous Wounds? It was her one unique strength as a Marksman.

Welcome to patch "Make Vlad and Swain as oppressive as possible" where they overhaul the AP items and remove grievous wounds from one of the only ADCs that was capable of fighting them.
I will also be referring to this patch as 5.13.Vlad

These reworks will be in patch 5.14.
The MF and GP reworks you mean?
I think the AP itemization change was this patch which is what I'm most concerned about. Honestly I don't even play MF as a counter to Vlad/Swain, just using this as an opportunity to push my agenda ;)

Personally (and they REALLY need to make an AD version of Morello's that isn't horrible; RIP executioners calling), I think its stupid to be able to invalidate a champions entire key strength with 1 skill that you don't pay for (and while Ignite is a valid comparison, that has a SIGNIFICANTLY longer cooldown).
Basically: This seems to me another case of Riot doing the right thing, at the wrong time; in this case they're removing grevious wounds from peoples kits, WITHOUT introducing an AD item that can apply it. So they're flat out removing the options from AD champions (unless we somehow get a reworked EC this patch too)
Perhaps, but I would argue that his key strength is overtuned when the only solution is a highly limited mechanic (grievous wounds) which also happens to gimp him.
It's like, you either have grievous wounds and Vlad doesn't exist. Or you don't have grievous wounds and he's miserably oppressive.
Idk, I don't like binary champs much. I guess some people see that as strategy though.
Its a binary mechanic not a binary champion. Because every sustain champion is gimped so hard if GW gets on them. If they could find a way to make it still useful without totally invalidating sustain then it would be good.

....No one played MF before- You playing her now won't buff them....
Haha yea I remember them saying that they might do a light gameplay pass on her E, but it seems that was one of the few things that remained untouched (as far as gameplay; it seems to be a stronger slow early now so it's a better 1 point wonder for her). They're phasing out GW; Tristana also used to have GW on her E (so not too unique I guess).
I do think the refresh passive is nice though, it gives her more of an escape tool now (plus she only loses it on "direct, non-periodic damage", maybe BT will be an earlier priority for her because I think the shield prevents her passive from dropping)
They make have given it a stronger ap ratio or something.
It looks like it's slow is a tiny bit stronger and that it's radius a tiny bit bigger.
I'm really confused as to why they removed grievous wounds though, it was really a staple of her tbh.
They might have buffed her base states though, that may be why, we'll have to wait and see before we get up in arms about her W.
EDIT: English is hard. ;-;
