Hecarim and phantom hits

So i noticed this with Hecarim but wouldn't be surprised if there are other champions who do this as well. Can we fix the issue where certain abilities still trigger/hit even if you get out of the way before hand. In this case i am talking about Hecarim's ability to still tag you with the charge + cleave even if you flashed out of the way before he reached you. To be clear this isn't flashing just a little bit out of the way, this is him hitting you from like 300+ range a good half second to a second after you flashed away and before his animation ends.

They would probably have to recode how melee basic attacks work since his charge is a basic attack and all melee basic attacks land even if you flash away during their animation.

Then they should probably recode him then. The issue i saw didn't look to be someone flashing as the cleave animation was going, but someone flashing with distance between them and Hecarim, BEFORE the cleave animation started. All while still getting hit by both abilities since Hecarim was within like 400-500 range of them before the flash.

I agree that one should not really be able to dodge auto attacks via flash or other gap closer, since this makes melee champions even harder to play. That said a melee auto attack should register as hitting just because you were in the area it would have been in, half a second prior.

This would explain why is ganks feel like they have zero counterplay. Apparently they literally have zero counterplay.

This generally happens because Hecarim 's Devastating Charge is an auto attack, and auto attacks will complete once their animation reaches a certain point. For Devastating Charge, the attack will complete if he is in range of his selected target. Most similar abilities are flashable because they aren't actually auto attacks (Fizz Q, Jayce hammerQ).

Just a little insight as to why this happens (not saying it's right or wrong, it just is).

I agree, needs to be changed. Pretty frustrating when he tower dives and you can easily outplay it with a flash, but the hit still goes through.
