Liandry's Torment changes?

Regarding the passive on Liandry's, does anyone think that maybe it could have some kind of stacking component so that if you continuously apply the item over 10 seconds, something cool happened? I see the item as a sort of niche poking tool that doesn't FEEL impactful. Heck, Morellonomicon's grievous wounds feels more tormenting than anything. 8 seconds of not wanting to use a healing ability is awwwwful!

Something along the lines of: UNIQUE - Liandry's Curse: Dealing spell damage applies a damage-over-time effect that deals bonus magic damage equal to 1% of the target's current health per second for 5 seconds. Any champion that has been afflicted with Liandry's Curse for 12 seconds DIES. Kidding, but insert something cool here and bam! You have something that rewards continuous poke! Or sticking I guess. It just won't help insta-deletion. I think maybe this would help poke champions who really have a hard time wittling down tanks like this item is intended to help them do.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Liandries is in a good spot though. It is an item meant only for certain champs and in certain scenarios. Doesn't have to do anything cooler than it already is tbh. If you wanted something cool then a new item would be better than reworking an already good item.

You're the first person I've seen in a while say Liandry's is in a good spot. And I mean, Im not really disagreeing with you, I just don't really feel the item like I do most others. It doesn't scream out anything in particular to me other than a bunch of stats and a hardly noticeable passive. I watch myself hit a tank and it deals a couple little 12's and im like... woo....

EDIT: I just feel like the item gets held back a lot because of potential abuse of the AP + Pen it offers.

The problem with Liandries right now is that Morello into Rylais is the meta build mid lane right now on mages. That leaves not enough room for most champs if they want to get other core items. Liandries is good however when the enemy team is low on MR and high on health or you are doing a lot of AoE damage with your champion. And I guess another good use is if you want to take objectives fast. I don't think that you should think about Rylai's as a poking item though, but rather a DoT item.

Champions that synergize well with it: Elise, Malzahar, Brand, Anivia, Teemo, Annie, Aurelion Sol, Morgana, Rumble, Kennen, etc.

I'm going to tell you why you should be going "WHOO!" over those little 12's.

Being conservative, assuming it is a single instance of damage, that means by ticking for 12 Liandry's is doing an extra 36 damage. So what would it take to get that damage from elsewhere. As an ability, assuming a healthy .7 AP ratio, that means that it is doing damage as if you had an extra 51~ Ability Power. Liandry's Torment already has 80 Ability Power so it would be doing damage as if it had 131 Ability power, more than Morellonomicon and Luden's Echo. But wait, it gets better... The 12s you are seeing are magic damage AFTER resistances have been applied and a lot of abilities don't have AP ratios as good as .7 AP. So each of these both mean that the AP total Liandry's effectively has is even higher than that estimate, while also making your champion more durable and increasing all your magic damage, including the base values.

i disagree, the majority of mages cant pick it up because you need constant dps and reapplications to benefit from it.

someone like viktor who does everything at once..... even poke mages like xerath or lux barely get any use out of it, raw ap is always prefered.

its not fine situationally, its fine and balanced for the champions who can use it and abuse it to its maximum efficiency.
