Damage done to her by the champ who is cloned reduces the duration of the clone.

I've seen many people that don't know about this, and simply try to get out of the range of the clone asap, when they don't know that fighting her during this time is actually one of the best times to fight her.

Granted, this is easier said than done, especially when she has her ult. If the Illaoi is actually competent, she'll use the clone as bait for you, then just ult and kill you.

However, from my experience in low elo, most Illaois tunnel on the clone, allowing you to get free damage in.

Most melee champions cannot trade against her so it is usually best to just walk away if it hits you.

That is hardly true bc she will Q both you and the spirit if you come to her, which really hurts, then quickly W either one of you... then can kite and Q either one of you again... If 6 she will ult and kill you if you come to fighter her on her E. You are completely wrong and should delete post so you don't misinform people.

Most of the time the absolute worst time to fight Illaoi is right after she lands her E actually. Makes it easy to get the double tentacle slams on you.

Specify the champions that can utilize this tip. This is not something a full tank would want to do or a champion who doesn't deal enough damage to make it more worth it to just walk away.

I do know that AP Singed can utilize this tip extremely well. He can flip, poison, and run around for about one more second for the clone to disappear.

Then again when she hits 6, doing so would be the worst thing you could do. Her E spirit counts as a champion, so if she presses R, she will summon an extra tentacle, more than likely resulting in your death.

Only champ i do it with is darius. You e her in to w and q and aa in to ult she is dead. But i just run on any other champ

teemo can face her if he wipes her tentacle then focuses movespeed/blind even if he gets hurt it still has certain defense shes gotta face. kiting is the weapon in these situations or use fiora and basically go GOD OF WAR ON HER and say some kratos like lines while your at it. or use jax and show you dont give a F about her W skill attack with your counterattack/ult/conqueror. 2ndly why dont minions have Souls to illaoi yet thresh indicates they do have souls i am confused about that part speaking logic/lorewise???

PSA: Fighting Illaoi while you've a clone on the board means taking damage from two sources, and fighting while crippled.

Easier to run off, dodge one attack by a tentacle and stand next to it. It won't attack again, and wont spawn more. (There are designated spawn points. Staying next to one keeps others from spawning from her E.)
