[Early Surrender Strings] [Strings referencing early surrender stuff. Looking into it]

game_announcement_OnSurrenderEarlyAllowed "Your team has X seconds to remake the game because a player dc'd and no kills occurred. Vote to end the game by typing /remake in chat. Only the dc'd player will take a loss. This vote can only occur once."

game_announcement_OnSurrenderEarlyAccomplice "To protect high-tier competitive integrity, your remake would count as a loss because the dc'd player is in your premade"

tl;dr you can now surrender before 20 because of an AFK who never connected.

EDIT: This has quickly devolved into a religion thread, why can't we just accept that not everyone is like us and that we should accept that?

Hashem baruch? You have it backwards.

TL;DR You can now surrender before 20 minutes cause of an AFK and is counted as a "Loss Prevented"

Pikmints2 votes

your remake would count as a loss

Doesn't sound much like a "Loss Prevented." Still better than before, especially if it takes away less LP than a standard loss.

But only if your mate who went out was in a pre made with you.

Wait so if u dont connect after the game starts for even a second, they can just ff immediately? What if my computer just fucks up and i reconnect before minions spawn, but they already used the feature? Do i just get a loss?

Llanite1 votes

the server will recognize whether you still maintain a connection.

How will it do that? If my internet dies for a minute and i come back before minions spawn, it won't sense i have a connection... Or if I restart the client because i sense fps issues, etc.

Llanite1 votes

If you restart the client, it should not take you more than 30s to turn it back on, the server should receive your request to reconnect. There is no information regarding when the vote will be able to start, but my guess is after the first minion wave spawns, i.e. you have lots of time.

I really hope so, cause shit really does happen. I've have a couple of games where I don't reconnect until people are halfway through level 1 or 2. Not often, but it happens.

Llanite1 votes

Doubt it will let you have that much time, since one of the limit is "before first blood".

The cuttoff time is probably the moment the first minion spawns.

Bergk3 votes

remake the game because a player dc'd **and no kills occurred. **

So you have to vote before first blood?

Jayblaze1 votes

I dont understand this part either

It primarily acts as a definitive moment before which you can opt out and vote for early surrender or wait and play safe in the hopes of an ally connecting. If you think that your team can survive missing a jungler for a period or the support not connecting and push on with the game for another minute in the hopes of a late connection, then you can actually do that.

The other major option for when you'd be cut off from early surrender would be after some period of time within the game; say past 1:30. This puts a pretty hard deadline for everyone involved, including the person who has not connected, since it forces a decision. With first blood being the deciding factor, if I don't connect into a game because of firewall errors or a power surge reseting my router I still have the chance to get back in before it's too late. My team can also support that by playing safe early in the hope that I'll come back quickly and then early surrender after they no longer feel safe playing a man down or that I may not connect at all.

Masala Chai4 votes

Yeah, but it deal with the real and annoying "never connected to game" annoyance that happens.

Gonna wait for the threads of people being really angry that other people vote no because the afk is their premade/they don't understand that they don't take a loss.

Whinja3 votes

But Riot specifically said members of a premade get a loss as well if their partner/group member is the afk

WyldeFyres1 votes

Exactly, so if you queue up and there's a 3 man premade on your team, for example, and one of them doesn't connect. It's a loss for two of them if they accept the remake vote. So then, they're both going to vote no regardless because they take a loss either way, so you're still going to be 4v5 that game.

The Blue Rajah1 votes

But... why would they want to stay in a 4v5? Even if it is an automatic loss, that's a lot better than sitting through a 4v5 until 20 minutes to do a regular surrender.

LatetotheRace2 votes

If they fixed bugsplats, this would be far less needed.

Weathered5 votes

I, and none of my friends who play, have ever gotten a bugsplat. I'm pretty sure that's subjective.

Zenthon Prime2 votes

I've literally never seen one in 4 years of play.

EfficientDynamo1 votes

It happens, although pretty rarely. I have had two this season, although I am not sure I had any in season 5.

I have a bugsplat (or rather loading screen freeze) in one out of about 100 games. All it takes to fix it is to use the task manager to kill the client in Task Manager and restart it.

rinsujo1 votes

Been playing for 5 years, seen maybe 10-12 on my old craptop and 2 on my newer gaming rig. Who's your ISP? I tend to check my internet whenever I drop and bugsplats tended to happen alongside severe packet loss.

Weathered1 votes

Ironically enough, had one last game because I downloaded Discord. Uninstalled it and everythings fine xD
