"Evolve and Adapt" -Kha'Zix's slogan
I find it hilarious how
is most notable for his "adaptability," because all the nerfs to his evolutions (namely his Q and R evolutions) have made it so you HAVE to get
immediately, no choice at all or else you're irrelevant, and then you have no choice in evolutions. You have to get Q first because without it you have balls for damage. Then you have to get E for the mobility. Then you're forced into W because his R is pretty much the worst ultimate in the game. Jayce and Udyr don't even have ultimates technically, but their's are still better than Kha'Zix's.
He can't even activate
without losing his stealth, which is something that
and
can all do, and
probably can too. The difference between Kha'Zix and all those others' invis? Bar Rengar, Kha'Zix's is the only ultimate ability, and subsequently, is the only one who loses stealth for activating Youmuu's.
Not like that matters since, let's be honest, Youmuu's sucks on Kha'Zix. It's just not built for his play style. But that's only one of the many things that hinders Kha'Zix. Kha'Zix's entire theme is supposed to be based around evolving to the situation, and choosing what to evolve based on the situation. Before mid-Season 4 this was true. All 4 ultimates were good to an extend. Now literally only his Q and E are actually a choice. The only decision there's to make is whether to evolve Q for damage or E for resets and mobility first.
Honestly, past 11 you don't even have to evolve an ability, because your W and R are both pretty bad, especially the R. At least W gives a better slow, and makes it AoE.
Just saying, if a champion is supposed to "Evolve and Adapt," you'd think it'd be a red flag when there's no adaptability to the champion.
