Looking For Serious Tips For Mid

Not on which champ to play but more for what more can I do.

I usually play Ziggs or Zyra but have been spamming Zyra lately.

It seems like nothing I do ends up in a win. Like literally I never lose lane. I ping MIAS, I never feed in lane phase, she is a extremely safe champ. but literally every game lately no matter what i do i end up with 3 or 4 enemy team in my lane and they just smash down 2 turrets before anyone responds.

hell last game i got a kill in jungle...then ran bot to save a turret from 4 enemies and ended up with a triple kill while 1v4 under turret.....my cs was the best i ever had that early like 66 at 10 min, with 4 kills.......i get to 5-1 and then boom,....just down hill from there because the enemies wukong just out of control.

Same thing happened in 2 other games vs a Rengar jungler.....i get way ahead but then Rengars out of control and just controling the game.

Ziggs is so fun! When i play him i try to push lane and roam bot with jg help to get easy first turret at lvl 6. lvling Q-W-E-Q-W-R seems to work well (used to max Q but i get a second point in W for cooldown for escapes are first turret priority.)

Best advice I can give is these:

  1. Build Zhonyas, as well as HP + AP Items like Rylais, Rod of Ages, Oblivion Orb and it's upgrades, as well as possibly Tear of the Goddess into Archangel's Staff.

  2. Stick with your teammates when enemies are missing, better to be near help if you ever get picked so that your team can collapse on them while you are in Zhonya's.

  3. Call shots early, be watching ahead of time to see if the enemy bot goes missing and if it seems like they might roam mid. Or you can also try saving wards up when you know the phase when enemy bot lane might roam is coming up, then ward when you think they're likely to begin rotating, those wards will give you more time to point them out to your teammates and get those teammates to roam to help you.

  4. Waveclear before the minions get to turrets. Luden's Echo can help with this. Once they get in turret range you're screwed against multiple enemies because they will be free to walk into the perfect position before they start their dive and take turret aggro. You need the turret free of minions so it can be an effective deterrent against anybody trying to walk under. If you're really desperate to keep them off your turrets you can try getting Zz'rot portal, but you'll need to be prepared to catch and clear the big waves before they crash on your turret.

Yeah i used to get zz on ziggs......makes him a pushing machine....but now days i can only do it if i get ahead. Every time i build it, if i have 1 death before i have 1 kill the team starts flaming and saying "we need ap." But whenever i build it while ahead no one says anything.

But as for your other points i pretty much do that except for the build...i use a different build.

Its usually Zhonyas, Liandrys, Rylais, Banshee, Ludens.

Calling shots is hard in low elo because no one listens......the Nasus's never group even when enemy is in your base they just keep fighting minions top. You get 3 enemies dead and people rush to Ocean Drake when Baron is free. And as i mentioned in the original post, there are times you have 4 enemy in your lane...you ping and no one responds....they literally leave the base and head to a camp in the jungle while your turret is getting destroyed.

So yeah stuff like that...and since I dont play carry champs i dont think there anything i can do. I was a support main but moved to mid and i play control mages.

I hate to sound like im blaming losses on other people but every example im giving here is %100 the stuff thats going on. When people ping for help i respond, i call my mias, i roam when i can...but its just not the same with others.

I feel for you mate, it sucks when people won't cooperate or listen. You can sort of manipulate them if you use the right tricks but it's not a perfect process.

If you'd like to try it it basically comes down to giving compliments and maintaining morale so that when you have to give advice or ask for help people have no reason to mistakenly think you're being condescending or flaming.

Also it really helps to include what they want in the plan you give them. For example, "Hey Nasus I know you want to Q farm more, but right now we need to protect base, can you come help for a minute and then go back to Q farming after we repel this push?" Not as long winded as that, but I hope it makes sense?
