Not sure which meta should i prefer as a mage main

Riot's shitfest of balance creates either an adc meta where we protects our lord and savior the adc or an assassin/diver meta where riot buffs mobile burst champions to kill adcs, ending up unable to play the game before being oneshoted (also true in adc meta anyway) and we never have a middle in between except before juggernaut patch in season 5

so i'm just mentally preparing myself, having to decide which meta i enjoy the most so i can leave league when the opposite meta is on
