Heimer feels awful tbh.

Played him in an ARAM and a bot game now, and just from that little bit of time spent playing him I would not ever consider playing him in a normal. Im just going to kind of rant my first impressions, not to really hate on the champ, just kind of pointing out some stuff that seemed kind of lame.

The passive seems kind of weird considering he is a scientisty guy and the animations change a lot. I would really have expected some kind of research or permanent upgrade thing that actually lends to his character. I also think that Heimer should gain the MS when in the range of a turret if anything, because that is honestly what I expected going in. Since it is not though, I have no idea how close to stand next to it.

The turrets deal minuscule damage and ranking up Q only increases their damage by 3. Legitimately, just 3. And they die SO fast, literally to anything that touches them. The ONLY good thing about them is the beam, which yes, it hurts, but the radius in which you have to hit enemy champions is pretty small and lame... and it takes SO SO SO long to charge unless I manage to hit one of 2 kind of hard to hit skillshots.

W is wonky but overall feels OK. Does not really feel that impactful with 5 hits honestly. Can only kill like 2 minions, and barely.

E is hard to hit. It is slow and small and isn't really that impressive compared to Nami bubble. Or at least it doesnt feel like it. Also, the ONLY thing that changes when you rank it up is +40 damage. Like, that isnt really much honestly since that is the ONLY thing he gets.

R is basically a Karma Mantra that feels way less... special. I don't know when to use the empowered Q vs W and the E just seems like the best choice overall. Karma has clear benefits to each Mantra and is the vastly superior choice in terms of which feels better.

I would much prefer a passive that makes heimer seem smart. RQ - longer lasting siege weapon with some range RW - hailstorm of rockets that go all wiggly and home in on different things and leave burn patches RE - less bounce, more stick to someone, stunning and dot shocking TF out of them, then aoe explosion!

You're just complaining that donger isn't an afk pusher now

Agreed, i played him in mid lane in a normals and it actually did feel like a nerf, at first but i feel that once you learn how to use his other abilities he'll be a lot better, he basically just has a skill cap now which he didn't really have before.

I mean thats fair, I just feel like in a game where mobility is so common, landing the two skillshots is going to be super impossible and heimer really doesnt scale that well.

Just because someone has mobility doesn't mean you'll never hit them. You are right though he doesn't scale well, which is something that could be fixed but it's mainly his playstyles fault, he just isn't good outside of laning phase.

I mean, you are correct, but basing heimers damage output on him landing damage just doubke punishes him if and when he does miss. I understand skill expression but its very easy to dodge both skills and i dont see heimer having a fallback since his ult doesnt refresh his abilities. Homing rockets would at least guarantee some beam action for instance.

And therefore there is literally NO REASSON to touch him.

He's already sitting at a highly negative winrate while only be played my mains (0.8%). Now they took away the one feature that allowed you to actually do something for your team.

OFC - taking away said feature is not bad, I appreaciate it. As well as the fact they want to push him back to mid where I played him alot S2. But to be somewhat usefull he needs MASSIVE BUFFS on his Turrets. Primarily defensive ones. And his R should be reconsidered another time. The 'Worse Mantra' was something I always hated. Old Ult fealt so much better and more usefull.

As a top laner with vivid memories facing heim. I do not mourn him in the slightest. That said, since he source of his damage is now reliant on his abilities, a mana regen buff might be needed as he will be using far more spells now.

I agree that getting rid of the massive bully effect in top is a good thing, but I just dont know how they are supposed to keep turrets the way they are. Their range is tiny so even if you manage to land a skillshot chances are they wont charge or will have just died to aoe. Idk.

Like I said, Ive barely played the guy. Its just that he feels really lackluster. The turrets feel like they dont really exist and the other 2 skills are kind of disappointing, not to mention the ult seems really bland. I just dont see the appeal.

I find it very funny that the Heimer player is complaining about something feeling awful, when they play Heimer.

Oh? Lol. Dont get me wrong, I agree heimer has always been a super frustrating champion to play against. I dont play him or against him often, but I know he was pretty cancer. Im just saying now that his turrets really serve little function if not to make life hell for someone else. Low range, low damage, low health.... like Idk what theyre good for now. If they dealt bonus damage to minions or towers Id understand their purpose better, but they just seem mediocre.
