So is bot lane now about picking the overpowered supports?

Rexxiee··2 votes·947 views

So now i have another support i have to permaban if i dont want to auto lose bot lane? (thresh).

Please just balance bot lane, i dont want lanes decided because my team didnt ban thresh/lulu and someone picked them on the other team while my team picks something shit like blitz or support lux or some other garbage.

It's always been this way though. Bot lane isn't really dictated by the adcs unless you are playing a early game aggressive play maker like lucian or Draven. It's up to the support to make the plays in bot lane pre six. Not much the adc can do especially if you are playing something like twitch.

Im not saying it wasnt, bot lane has always been 80% support after plat (below that ppl are just too bad you can 1v2 them as adc), but right now theres just an increasing amount of supports that are too strong, they not only dictate the lane but also the game.

So are you arguing that there are too many strong supports or that the support role isn't diverse?

Beat me to it.

You think Blitz is shit, and Thresh is a perma-ban? What are you ranked, I'm curious? How many league games have you played?

My my, you have a lot to learn.

Blitz is basically 1/3rd of a champion that thresh is.

I think Blitz is easier to play than Thresh, but There's has more potential. That makes. Blitz a better pick in my ELO then Thresh, even though I like Thresh's kit more.

thresh will never have as much burst than blitz and as much engage as blitz

there is a reason that morde blitz is a broken lane and not morde thresh

thresh is strong atm, but let's not forget blitz 52% win rate in diamond with 10% pick rate

Adding my voice about the hokers. All three are annoying for different reasons, but I tend to ban blitz over the other two.

i thought this was going to be an AP maokai support thread

Ap maokai support will be less annoying once they nerf him (and even him right now isnt nearly as strong as thresh, just ap shaco levels of annoying), now god knows when they are going to nerf thresh and hes basically as strong as lulu atm if not stronger.

He is getting a slight compensation to his nerf.

More dmg, higher mana cost and lower base damage.

Ralanr2 votes

You could argue that about any role honestly.

Though they did have to kick mage supports out somehow.

oh by the way... thresh is the support with highest win rate currently

maokai is 2nd bard 3rd blitz 4th sona 5th ali 6th sion 7th leona 8th brand 9th fiddle 10th zyra 11th janna 12th

and finally at a 49.82% win rate is lulu in 13th place

Poor Nautilus doesn't get a mention :(

nope not in that list

Can anyone tell me what exactly made Thresh OP?

LoomberFoot1 votes

The sustain from coin allows him to stay in lane longer I believe.

Hethalean1 votes

The mana sustain which means he can throw out more hooks. Without Relic Shield, he's pretty squishy, thus making him not as concerning if you can avoid the hook. So just poke him when he goes to get a soul/coin, or when he walks up to flay you so he can get the hook.

He's not even THAT powerful right now. 53% win rate I wouldn't say is 'you auto lose lane'. People are just bad at dodging hooks, see his win rate, and thus think he must be OP and needs gutting. lol

For a champion with the highest support pick rate at 30% + 53% is past the too much point actually.

Thresh when balanced has around a 48% win rate due to his popularity and skill cap.

Win rate / play rate are a poor measure of if a champion is balanced. There are other factors in a champion's power (seeing as they've nerfed champions under 50% win rate, and buffed champions with high play rates before today). Riot hardly ever goes by it.

There is always an adaption period for lots of things with people that have dangerous abilities like Thresh Hook. I still see lots of people treat him like he uses Relic shield and is tankier / more HP sustained. This is just not the case anymore if he is using coin, and I would assume has something to do with his win rate being "so high" as 53%.

"adaptation period"

Jesus cut with the bullshit already, thresh has been in the game since season 2 and hes now overpowered, nothing more nothing less.

Well, I guess we'll agree to disagree with nothing but you just yelling at the clouds then with nothing but cussing to bring to the table. lol If he was so clear cut OP, pretty sure Meddler's comments on him 2 days ago would be much different.
