Games are decided way before you can surrender

I think 95% of the games I've played since the new runes happened have been decided around the 10-15 minute mark. The problem is, there is always that one guy at 15 minutes that doesn't want to ff because "it's only 1 to 20, we can come back". No, you physically cannot. Please make it easier to surrender pre-20 mins seeing as how you clearly want games to end substantially earlier anyways. It really fucking sucks to be on either end of an "open mid" type situation, and this is happening in probably every other game. Either let the stomp victims end the game with some dignity or fucking remove the stomp potential of these new runes.

Yeah....good luck making a comeback vs an AD assassin, Cho'gath, fed hypercarry or fed "control" (more like burst) mage. Deathballing just seals the fate of the team on the back foot since there's no real counter to that strat. outside of splitpushing which is unviable at present.

Also, you're being generous in saying games are over by the 10-15 minute mark. From my experience games are usually over during the 5-8 minute mark. Pretty much whoever deathballs a slightly won lane first wins.

99% of the time that this is true, it's because you threw it in champ select. You either had no tank (or not even a juggernaut), little to no CC, unviable champs (Not just not the top tier champs, but champs in the bottom ~25 total), no coordination of any kind, or poor rune selection (i.e. Entirely mismatched choices, such as Kleptomancy on Darius). Or some other issue that the balance team is literally incapable of fixing without breaking your team's champions.

If you're having that many issues, I suggest changing your bans away from merely annoying picks (such as Yasuo) to ones that are legitimately too strong right now, playing champs that work with your team, and essentially just being better. If you want longer games, I suggest moving away from assassins, as having an assassin in the game essentially means that the game's effectively over by 15 minutes - either win or loss. Meanwhile, if you want shorter ones, move towards assassins. If you want to actually survive in a fight, take a tank (as most actual tanks are really durable right now), or make sure tanks with a lot of peel are picked.

I totally agree. I want to say 75% of the games I have played in the new season (I did have a few good ones where we had some good back and forth) are already decided within the first 10 minutes, but there's always one person who won't surrender so we're stuck forced to play against a fed opponent with 0 chance of winning.

If you aren't playing something that impacts the game you're done for in this preseason; the game's either over or it's a 4v5 for your team at that point. You can't afford to not have an impact at all stages in the game right now above silver elo unless you're playing Veigar.

You're telling me. Look at my match history for a game as Xayah, with a Leona support named killing motjher. We both took Press The Attack, and stomped lane. Game was over by 4 mins.

Matchmaking is just broken right now, most game i am in are decided before the game starts! So yea, being able to surrender sooner would be real nice!

This is the problem. Every game I get three of you that say the game is already over before Barron is even up. Already checked out thinking about the next game and wondering why our strategies are bad when half of you are AFK typing and the other half just didn't come here to try; totally convienced there's no such thing as comebacks, certain the the grave you didn't start this snowball it just magically happens, now we're behind there's just no reason to play, and nothing to be learned. Maybe if you were okay with playing a losing game and somehow actually enjoying it you wouldn't feel like you were wasting 50% of your games. Seriously every single game I want to ask half my teammates before the 10th minute mark if you didn't really want to play it out why did you join. How can you be mentally out of this game to the point that its a 4v5 and not even see when YOU ARE CURRENTLY ACTING AS THE DEADWEIGHT.
