Amp tome's cost needs to be lowered! [Detailed explanation]

I had to remake this post since it wasn't letting me edit my original one.

** I have a proposal; Lower the AP of Amp tome to 15 and reduce its cost to 326.**

why 326? BECAUSE; if you divide 435 by 20 ie.(435 / 20 = 21.75 This is amp tombs efficiency )If you divide the cost of large rod by 80(1600 / 80 = 20) this is the Cost efficiency of ap when you purchase Large rod

For those of you who dont understand this still, ill explain it really easily. When you buy an amp tomb you are buying 20ap for 21.75g per 1 ap. When you buy a Needlessly large rod you are buying 80ap for 20g per 1 ap. Thats all in check, the ratio is about the same for long swords. What Im proposing is to lower the Cost of the item with the setback of how much AP it has, while still retaining the cost efficiency of the item in check.

21.75 ap : 1 ap This is the cost efficiency of Amp Tome. If you multiply the cost efficiency by 15 (The amount of ap i think Amp tome should have) you get 326g.

But then the problem that is at hand is how many pots is too much for an all AP start? And with AD casters now AD isn't just for Auto attacking, where do you cross the line?

----------------This is the real question.----------------------

435 for 20 ap?

come on..

Okay, maybe you guys aren't completely understanding the point.

1600 (ie. the cost for Needlessly large rod) gives 80 ap, so basically if you buy 4 amp tomes you get 80ap. But it will cost you 1740 gold (140 gold more!)

400g (dorans) - 15ap / 60hp / 3mp5 /4 mana on kill 435g - 20 ap

860g - 40 ap

1600g - 80ap

3260g (zhonyas) - 120ap + 50 armor / stasis

3100 (DFG) - 120ap + 10% cdr / active

Basically what i'm getting at is that you literally get nothing for buying amp tomes for how much it costs and at such an inconvenience (start of the game only 1 pot.)

**Alot of people seem to be interested in how AD costs co-relates to AP costs, Ap since the beginning of time has been used for spell and just recently started to be used on scaling Auto's (but not 1:1 yet)Ap cannot crit, it doesn't scale with attack speed.

In fact The reason AP scales so well into late game is because of Death cap, the average amount of AP late game is around 700~ (you can always give or take 100) each champion scales differently with AP so this doesn't mean that you will be hitting everyone for 700 each spell cast, whereas if you have 350 AD your Auto attacks Will hit for 400* Now add on crit % and attack speed, you could be hitting for 400 every .2 seconds!**

This is why AP shouldn't be related to AD in terms of Cost Efficiency.

So...you do know that the B.F. Sword and the Needlessly Large Rod are supposed to be slightly more gold efficient, right? Amplifying Tome is 100% stat efficient: the base item sets the base cost for the ability in question. Blasting Wand gives you 101.1% of your expected gold/AP ratio in AP instead of 100%. Needlessly Large Rod gives you 108.8% value for your gold.

This is by design, since purchasing larger items takes more gold, and often means power in your inventory in the meantime: imagine the difference between staying in lane for the 1600 gold for Needlessly Large Rod vs. the advantage you could have gained in lane by having the 60 AP granted by the Blasting Rod and Amplifying Tome you could already have in your inventory in that time.

Again, it's by design. And I don't think the design needs to change for the sake of 8% gold efficiency.

Im not looking at effeciancy based on cost reletive value of large rod, im looking at it per 1ap. as is, AP costs too much early on and its curve is fairly distorted. by reducing the cost of Amp tome and reducing the amount of ap you can gain on it with a single purchase levels out the curve throughout the game.

Im not saying that we should buff amp tome by reducing cost and keeping the same amount of AP. Im saying lower the ap it gives and increase recipe costs and make it easier to build amps earlier on.
