The worst feeling as Mundo is getting Grievous Wounds applied on you

It really makes you sad when your ult would have healed you for 3k health but because they bought item 3123 you will only heal for 1.8k health.

Or you play a champ with %missing health healing or stronger healing when low on health Aatrox Darius Illaoi Yorick but because the enemy bought either item 3123 or item 3165 meaning your means of survival when on low health is cut by 40%.

Just a real feelsbadman moment.

Yeah, it sucks to get countered.

Getting countered is ok when you have to do something besides buying a cheap item then auto attacking once.

How else do you counter Mundo? His health regeneration can get ridiculous.

This is kinda a War of attrition. Because Mundo Could become oppressive without GW, and completely useless with it. So the problem is finding that middle ground.

The dumb part about Morrello's is that it's pretty much a core item on Most mages, Giving those mages that effect by default. But actually, it has been reduced to 35% and not 40% health so even more HP needs to be lost before it takes effect.

Now Executioners I think is a bit more interesting, because it only builds into Mortal Reminder making it slot inefficient on anyone except an ADC or possibly an AD Assassin. But that said, it's rarely an inconvenience for even a Tank, to throw 800 down for that passive effect.

Something that gets me though, is that duration of Grevious wounds can change from item to spell. Executioner's applies it for 3 seconds, Mortal Reminder for 5, Morello's for 8, and 5 seconds on Ignite. However, the intensity doesn't change. Executioners is just as effective as any one of them at preventing healing.

What I think could happen, is reworking the system where, Executioner's only reduces healing by 20%, where Mortal still reduces it by 40%. And any of the other items/spells could be allowed to have variance in their effectiveness. (Assuming that all sources of GW are non stacking)

Honestly Grevious wounds once they get below 35% health is a super healthy concept, it should be global tbh. You have sustain, so use it to keep yourself healthy - if you don't, then you're punished. That is a mechanic that could be used to balance sustain - it's good against DPS (as 'sustain' should be) because they have a hard time getting you low, and worse against burst.

Ofc burst healing could be a thing too, put on someones kit, though, not on an item.

what, you don't like when a random mage makes you heal for nothing for the next 8 seconds because a stray AoE spell touched you?

Ralanr2 votes

To be fair, you need to be below 40% for mages.

Big Lincoln1 votes

yeah and i'm not going to get back above 40% when i have shit healing for 8 seconds

Touché.

The worst thing as Mundo is getting deleted by %max hp true damage (that or when penetration builds are too strong). The only strategy you can really employ is just never engaging, as he doesn't really have a lot of options. Grievous Wounds and Ignite have been around forever, but there is increasingly more %hp damage in the game.
