I Honestly Hate Demotion Protection

This is coming from someone who is hard stuck silver.

I hate demotion protection. It merely generates the illusion that a player is playing at the rank their profile lists when they really are not.

If your MMR is low enough, you will be placed in an endless series of lower ranked games than your profile displays. Losing means losing anywhere between 20 and 25 LP and winning nets you 17 or fewer LP. Climbing is actually made harder as a result of demotion protection.

It only exists to safeguard player feelings like many other ridiculous safeguards. Riot's reasoning behind 90 percent of their bullshit is 'The truth makes people feel bad, which is why we lie'. Which is the most condescending and offensive mentality of all in my opinion.

Consider removing rank protection or, at the very least, allow players to toggle it on or off.

Skill exists, and the fact that they actually turned it and you lost further proves that. It's just not in your teammates who either

A. Formed a tight formation against Brand B. Stood there like garden gnomes while you're getting dicked down by multiple hard CCs.
