"Standing on Thresh's Lantern"

This is a really dumb concept considering some champions are displaced slightly, like flying champions such as Anivia. it shouldn't be whether an enemy is standing on the lantern itself, it should be if the enemy is standing in the glow of the lantern. http://team-dignitas.net/uploads/tinymce/images/lantern.png

I have absolutely no idea what you're actually trying to say. You seem to have left out a key phrase or something.

That's a little too far, they would have to nerf the CD on that by a lot of it also became a decent knockback like that. You throw your lantern on someone and knock them to/away fro you. It's one thing for it to knock back people in a very close vicinity but the glow is a big enough radius to be a big buff for a currently strong champion. Thresh is in a pretty good place right now he doesn't need any buffs/nerfs.

What? What knockback. I seriously have no idea what you are talking about.

It's not officially a knockback, but that's really what it would be if you changed the range to the whole glow. It would push them out of the glow of his lantern which would knock them back in a sense. I could aim my lantern right behind an enemy to push him towards me if I wanted like a Trundle pillar of sorts.

Wtf, all I'm saying is that if an enemy is standing in the glow of the lantern, allies shouldn't be able to travel to Thresh by way of the Lantern.

If that's what you're saying then

You seem to have left out a key phrase or something.

Currently if you are standing on Thresh's lantern when he casts it, you are physically pushed aside the same way if you ward underneath dragon he pushes wards aside when he spawns.

it shouldn't be whether an enemy is standing on the lantern itself,

this is how the lantern decides if it will knock the champion back when the lantern connects with the ground

it should be if the enemy is standing in the glow of the lantern.

When 'standing on thresh's lantern' at spawn you're knocked back so when you say "yeah the enemy shouldn't have to be standing on it just in the glow" and you don't say "for a champion to not be able to click on the lantern and dash back" it sounds like you're actually saying Thresh should have the glow be his knock back radius.

On top of the fact that IF Riot were to change the glow as the "no click zone" they would also be changing the knockback to the glow as well. Why? Because the initial knockback is in place to ensure that when the lantern hits the ground an ally has a chance to click on it before an enemy can potentially block the lantern. That's the whole point of the mechanic. It gives the champion the first shot at clicking so that if Thresh does well and manages to get the lantern right on top of an ally the ally can escape, whereas if Thresh doesn't position it quite on mark or the ally waits a few seconds (maybe greedy for a farm or kill) to click the lantern then an enemy can block the escape.

Wtf

don't WTF me if you don't explain yourself in easy to understand terms--that's just rude. Notice how the other poster didn't understand you either? It's not my incompetence that drew that conclusion, it's my understanding of how the lantern works (and how the knockback is directly tied to the radius of the lantern blocking) that led to my conclusions

I'm saying is that if an enemy is standing in the glow of the lantern, allies shouldn't be able to travel to Thresh by way of the Lantern.

But that's the problem. That is not what you said. You never mentioned allies, you never mentioned anyone traveling. You just talked about a glow radius in vague words.

He means that some champions appear displaced, since their location on screen is different from their location in the code. Anivia has a slight disparity between her location and her displayed location.
