Ignoring Illaois current power, she is really useless if behind but absurd if ahead

Yea she may or may not be overtuned at the moment, but her kit has no real utility for her team outside her slow.

When compared to the other Juggernauts, she seems to be the only true one who cant risk falling behind or she is very useless.

Mordekaiser: still has dragon ghost and can steal an enemy in the form of his ghost.

Garen: can still tank like crazy and have guarenteed damage to the villian, also his silence.

Skarner: He has his cc to make sure he can still help his team if his damage becomes obsolete.

Darius: While he is super reliant on dealing damage to be useful, if he does fall behind he can put off his damage items so he doesnt die as quickly. He also has a natural steroid to help when behind, not to mention his utility on his pull and W slow.

Illaoi: When she is behind she is very reliant on dealing damage to be relevant. She can E the enemy to have her team damage the enemy from afar and eventually mark them. While yes she can come back in teamfights by landing a 2 or 3 man ult, if shes too behind to be able to survive the initial burst and cant deal damage, shes just worthless.

I'm sooo glad to see people not calling Illaoi OP. (I'm only L22, and a newbie, and a lot of people at this level complain about her being overpowered).

I play Leona, and I see Illaoi bot fairly frequently, and she's a joke botlane VS Leona. Anytime one's tried to Ult me, I counter with E>Q, and my ADC nets an easy kill. And it's worse if I'm above 6.

When I get more IP, I might try the same thing with Morg, since I'm thinking it might be the use of a snare that makes 'em die so quickly.

I actually disagree a little bit. I've been very behind on Illaoi before, and still managed to 1v2 the enemy top laner and mid laner when I baited them into a brush. I'll correct your statement: Illaoi is useless when behind when her ULT is DOWN.

Yep, said this from the get go. Played her non stop with a friend when she came out and came to the same conclusion. To date, I've only encountered one that came back to be scary in super late game after I made her life miserable for the first twenty minutes, but that was just because my team and I never tried to really group and win, so she got fed off of picks in 5v1 situations and they were able to take a couple inhibs.

Then we all collectively said we were done, aced them, and dismantled their base.

Her spirit test gives free damage to enemies, I think that's pretty great alone compared to Darius and Garen. Other than that, she's just damage as you said.

really like your point. honestly i feel her ult could use a small knockup or something (maybe slow idk), it already is interrupt-able with enemy cc if it at least could turn her into a super super shitty malphite when behind would be nice. Not to mention the only way i feel I win lane with her is landing e's and otherwise waiting for the enemy to engage me and end up playing more like a poke mage (basically saying her agency in lane is super low, often true for juggernauts but at least darius has his pull to threaten u with, garen and skarner have speed ups, and morde can get rylais or gunblade and has a dedicated support)

You mention a gimmicky Dragon ghost but refuse to acknowledge her E?

Low cool-down when maxed and teammates can make up for your lack of damage.

so you think shes underpowered? I hate threads that will just want to disprove people when they say someone is op. illaoi will outdamage everyone on your team with just 1 AD item in a 6 item build. her E is the most abusive ability in the game. its the worst thing you'd have to deal with outside laning against yasuo.
