It may not counter their damage directly but it counters their invisibility, thus taking away the advantage they have on you, thus possibly preventing the amount of damage they would have dealt to you if they were invisible.

Shaco? If you see him coming you can avoid his crit.

Twitch? You can try to burst him down.

Akali? Attack her while she's sitting there waiting for her cooldowns.

Shaco still has a whole bunch of non-stealth-related damage.

Twitch is basically always predictable, anyways.

Akali's cooldowns are pretty damn low as it is. She can 100-1 semi-tank champs without even bothering to use her W.

Honestly, I wasn't thinking about any champ in particular. It's just that every time someone mentions a champ that has anything to do with stealth, someone will always just yell out the "Buy a pink ward!!!" line.

"Why was Evelyn's R cooldown buffed?" "Quit crying about Evelynn and use that time to buy a pink instead."

Tbh you should always have a pinkward regardless of whether or not stealth champs are in game.

Shaco main here and a former Eve main. Don't ever make the mistake of not having a pink easily accessible or you are truly asking for hardcore ganks.

Put one pink in a bush and stay in it's vision radius = Shaco can't engage you if you have any form of CC. He relies on being able to get close to you before you have a chance to react.

Put one pink in a bush in your lane = Eve can't gank you as she has no real gap closer or CC

Put one pink in the lane as Akali retreats from her combo to avoid retaliation = no disengage for her. Punishment time.

I can't tell if you're trolling or just stupid. For your sake, I hope it's the former. Almost all squishy champions are incredibly squishy. They have damage that they can deal because they get stealth to sneak in and shoot people or whatnot. Losing stealth means they can't engage unless they're suicidal.
