Can we get some immobile champions (hopefully a mage) for the next few?

We really need some new ones who are close if not 100% immobile with no invulnerability. The mobility/escape creep has gotten so bad as of late where if you are not on a champion with either decent to high mobility, and/or some form of invincibility/untargetable feature, you are likely going to struggle for most of the game. And every single new champion has some kind of dash, leap, massive movement speed buff, and/or invulnerability/untargetable feature.

Vel'Koz was the last champion to have absolutely no mobility worked into their kit. He is not even that bad of a champion. Good damage, has hard cc, spell range is high, and has burst. But that gets him nothing if the enemy can simply side step it. It sucks but that is going to be how it is until mobility is toned down a bit.

That being said. We can't even start to think about how to tone down mobility if we keep adding more and more mobile champions into the game. So can the next few be almost completely immobile? That would help out a lot, especially if they are fun to play. Mages tend to fit this kind of bill fairly well. So maybe a mage would be good. Someone like Xerath, Lux, Vel'Koz, or Annie would be cool.

Ult makes her invincible and untargetable, and her W has a movement speed buff

by that logic sion is the most mobile champion in the game

No, likely Rakan Yasuo Kalista or Ekko

What about jhin?

JavelinJoe1 votes

any time Jhin crits or when his W lands on a champion and roots them he gains 10% (+ 4% per 10% bonus attack speed) bonus movement speed for 2 seconds

Totally agree

Unfortunately, riot has decided that they will balance the game around giving champions a specific set of abilities which may be true damage, %hp damage, mobility, or self peel. More and more champions are starting to have this

I doubt the next mid champion will be immobile. It will follow the pattern that has been in place for wel over a year

They are "trying" to break away from that old 3 stack requirement component too but it is still here in their newest release (Xayah needs 3 feathers to stun a target). So you might be right that they won't ever change it. RIOT and mechanical changes do not separate very well it seems.

Also, champions which have all for of your components are even in the game. CamilleFiora Vayne are 3 examples (however I am in no way saying to nerf these champions, if anything buff Camille back to some level of decency please)

Fi needs her ult changed. She's a fencer. Why does she heal her team with a successful ult? I get healing herself, but why her team?

If the urgot leaks are true. I do think it might release the most immobile monster of them all.

yes, movement speed and an untargetablity that doesnt dash anywhere but just lets you issue move commands isnt mobility.

mobility is a

-dash -blink -extreme movement speed that is not tied to an ult (think rammus or karma )

that was the idea of my argument, i was pointing out the flaw in calling xaya mobile when she isnt...[zombie-brand-clap]

She is not the most mobile champion by a long shot, I never said she was either. But she does have mobility in her kit (it is not even on her ult), as well as invulnerability and untargetability, she is still considered to have mobility.

And with that being said, I do think that the only questionable champion as to whether or not they can be considered as having mobility is Jinx. While yes, her passive is a massive movement speed buff, she does not have it unless she gets a kill/assist or structure within 3 seconds of damaging it. She cant initially have said mobility at the start of any fight until she completes that prerequisite.

let me rephrase

a small movement speed buff isnt enough mobility to argue that this statement is true

Vel'Koz was the last champion to have absolutely no mobility worked into their kit

also invincibility/untargetable isnt mobility its a defensive/offensive tool

I know that. I included invincibility/untargetable in my request because more and more champions are starting to have it now, and even items are starting to change towards it too with both item 3102 becoming an AP item and item 3814 being introduced (yes these both are not full invulnerability, but they do offer single spell invulnerability). Camille and Xayah both have ults that do it, the Malzahar rework also gave it to him as a passive, and invisibility changes made some champions become untargetable unless under an allied tower when invisible (i have no issue with invisibility though, just the inability to reveal certain champions with control wards so you can target them). It is starting to become a common thing, and I would not like it to become mainstream, where if it is not included in a champion's kit somewhere, then that champion is though of as lacking or having a handicap, and not thinking that the champion with the ability just simply has a "unique" skill/ability.

tl;dr: So it is more of a worry than a current issue. But it is still a potential concern.

Why bitch about mobility but then throw in invulnerability? Seems out of place...and very niche

Nice, now we're talking about invisibility...

JavelinJoe1 votes

not really, just untargetability, invincibility, and mobility

What?

JavelinJoe1 votes

the focus was the untargetable part which they made happen when they removed the "gets revealed by control wards" part from some champions and replaced it with gets red outlined or a shimmer when damaged. I have no issue with invisibility as a concept and my focus was only on the untargetability it gives

Urgot's rework if leaks are true would like one hell of a talk with you.

Immobile? Mofo locks himself down to become a siege monster

No invulnerability? Probably might have some defense increase but he isn't moving for it probably.

But he sure as hell will be firing at someone and a giant hook that pulls you into a meat grinder, holy shxt will "why didn't you dodge" become the meme if leagues are true.

13/out of 136 champions have it? " more and more"

and malzahar passive like what less then a second just auto it. thats not invisibility/untargetability.

invisibility can be seen with red ward and trinket and they can still be hit by skillshots and AoE not true untargetability, only shaco kha and akali have it.

your making an issue where there is one, you are entitled to want more mages/ immobile champions nothing wrong there. but trying to justify it with past releases and " mobility creep" is udder nonsense.
