Dear ADC
Do you see these spinning blue orbs around me? You see that's how I get my gold, and you ALSO get the gold, crazy right? I would love to use it on the cannon minion or a melee minion. Do you not trust me?

look ... although in life i try to default to trust. in lane, trust is earned. yes your blue orbs indicate friendship, good intentions, and shared wealth, but unfortunately i cannot control my primal urge to last hit. i hope that in time, our bond will grow and we can share the cannon minion but until then dont expect much change.
I like how if anyone without a Red Text name had made this comment they'd be down-voted to oblivion for basically saying "Don't expect me to stop screwing you over cuz it's too much work to pay attention, I'm the ADC", even if he's making a joke.
This community is a little sad with how wishy-washy it is lol
Nah, I've seen Reds get downvoted to hell for unpopular opinions.
This guy is honest about it (dat primal urge) and is making light of it too. Nothing wrong with that.
Why would ppl downvote good joke.
I think it's assumed that if a Red posts something, they have more authority and game knowledge. It's like trusting a celebrity to advertise cereal, when if just some random guy came up to you and asks "hey man, want some cereal?" you get all suspicious and shit.
Nah, a... decent chunk of the community can take a joke
It's just that people tend to remember the occasional guys that can't take a joke, making the impression that it happens more often than it doesn't.

It's because we trust that a Rioter actually is joking when he says that.
Not if you're
Been done wrong SOO many times ;-;
hits minion with 68 health left
has 68 AD and is in threshold for execution via
.
doesn't execute or kill the minion, it was a cannon minion
suicides into enemy turret
This is why Thresh players buy
.
yea bad players buy coin lol
Not really. The coins active is stronger than the daggers active and works really well with any support really because of its sustain. Honestly any support can build mountain too, I tried it on Soraka and my ADC was constantly healed after being poked.
Support items don't define your level of play, it's totally revolved around your preference.
Each item is best at different points and at different times. I have never once seen a successful thresh player build spellthiefs. Its completely terrible on him. You seem to ignore the fact that we are talking about the stacks of relic and not the actives of the upgrades. Completely morphing a simple statement into a blanket that has no actual relevance with the post I reply to. Keep up. I know its the boards, but its not hard.
The support item you get can be strong on literally any supports in the game, sure they might fall off on damage or tankiness or sustain but its all relevant to how you want to play and the best for the team.
I've seen Braum with Spellthief, Thresh with Coin, and myself as Soraka with Relic Shield.

Wait, but shouldn't the auto attack also be empowered by the E passive? Minions must've gotten it before you did.
I'm not sure if this is appropriate or not, but I see no sarcasm in this post, so....
I use Relic on Thresh and even when i spam pings on the cannon i can feel when my adc gonna let me get the cannon or when he doesn't. If i know he will not attack it and will let me get it i never miss, it's really easy to farm it with the E's passive. But when i know he will try to kill it, i usually attack too early and end up missing, cuz i wanted to deal more damage than he does. The minions kill the cannon then and no one get the gold. That's really sad.
I actually had a game recently when i asked my adc jinx if she knew how the relic shield worked as she was constantly using her rockets to take all the cs she could.
Answer was "No i have no idea what the relic shield even is"
FINALLY I GET TO USE IT.
This is how i picture most adc's when a support accidentally takes a cs or uses relic.
I main ADC and see this happen a lot. Really one minion is nothing I really don't care if my support wants to take a few minions even without magically glowing blue balls. I think more ADCs should realize that bot lane is a duo lane and the supports are often the reason why ADCs get fed and actually survive the laning phase.
I like this. Gold is much more efficient on the adc, that's the point of the support role, both parties should agree on that, but there's no need to worry about a minion or two. So much better than when I take a cs that my adc isn't even trying to get (too busy poking) and they miss 5 more cs typing out impotent rage.

I think "much more efficient" is overstating it. It's probably only 20-25%, or even less. At very high elo or pro play, even that small difference can decide a fight or a game, but most people are at a level where most of their games are decided by map awareness, objective focus and decisionmaking.
#gangplanksupprot. never miss ur gold again
Trust in BankPlank, He'll make you rich.
Especially "dear adc, you only have 100 mana, could you at least not burn it all as you actively deny me gold?" I'm ok with them forgetting occasionally, but going oom from denying me multiple waves when I have 4 stacks, and then dying because you're oom, is just ridiculous.
I've seen mids do this too.
It's really annoying to see something like that on the enemy team. Hardcore greed ADCs who farm all game are by far the worst ADCs and actually get behind because they never attempt kills, roaming, ganks, or teamfighting. Sure the enemy Ezreal might have 60 more cs than me, but I'm still 10-0 while he is 1-4.
ADCs need to realize that cs rarely defines your power in comparison to kills and overall potential for other events.

How many times have you seen that really?
Usually the 10-0 ADC is also ahead by 60-80 CS because the enemy ADC can't even go near his creep wave without Leona + Graves using their respective E + Q + R on him.
In general CS is more important than kills = every creep wave is basically a kill or nearly a kill's worth of gold.
There's a difference between a strong ADC player and a greedy farmer. You can still be ahead in kills and cs but typically a strong ADC will miss cs to push, gank, take objectives, etc. That's what wins games, not farming lane the entire game.

In my experience, about 90% of people who complain about farming "too much" are trying to pick unnecessary or bad fights and the ADC (whether it's me or not) refuses to follow.
In my experience, 90% of all stats are made up.
See what you saying tho.
I hate Relic shield in Yolo Que so much...

Basically, as other pointed out, if you show that you are unable to last hit the siege minion, i'm not gonna risk it. Better have the gold on your carry, then no gold at all.
Sick and tired of having to remind my lane partner that this is how we don't die in lane.
I always give my support the benefit of the doubt. I will intentionally juke about the low-health minions if my support has a stack ready and is in position.
The only time I stop trusting them is when they seem to forget they can earn gold for both of us and just let the minion die. I can't risk losing CS my supp won't themselves hit for us.
it's hard using that when ranged... need precious (or whatever what it called... precise???) timing... if melee it's easier since there is execute mechanic... even ADC can't outdamage or steal without crit...
The excecute isn't that good, really.
Once your ADC gets going, they'll have the wave cleared before you can say "relic shield".
not to mention the adc will sometimes secure the minion with AA+skillshot. even when they have less than 100 mana. and if your adc has a waveclear skill, have fun trying to get a single cs past 15 minutes.
Meanwhile in nami land

The hell does a Nami need cinder for?
When her tank jungler shows up, she hold out cinder and they buy cinderhulk? #supportlovesjungler?
she gives them the cinder and they provide the hulk, it's a simple yet effective symbiotic relationship
: hulk, smash!
: =D yay!
: jungler go away...
I've had enough
supports with relic shield that I now have serious trust issues. Plus, when I see a support with relic shield use both charges the moment we get to lane, I already know they don't understand one of the major reasons you take relic shield in the first place.

To hit level 2 before the enemy?

To hit level 2 before the enemy?
Hitting level 2 very slightly earlier isnt worth giving up 3-4 autos worth of sustain. No way. Always use 1 stack right away to start a push, and then hold onto the other stack for when they start poking or trading with you. That extra health for both of you at early levels makes a big difference.
Use the first stack immediately so that you'll have a charge for the cannon minion later. Try to trade level 1, but always use the second stack at level 1 to get level 2 faster. A lot of adcs refuse to kill that last minion even when a level 2 Leo is walking up, so helping with that is important.
Only way ADC will let you take the orbs is when Riot buff this item. This item will give 25-50% extra gold to ADC and support if a minion is killed. If ADC denies support of his money, then he will be deprived of that 10-25g
They did that. ADCs and supports both got it. Yeah.
I mean 10-20% on top of killing that minion. If caddy is = 40g, and he kills 2 melee amd one caster (melee=20g caster =17g)ADC gets 97g and support gets 97g PLUS 10-20% so 9.7-19.4g for the support and ADC . That way every time the ADC takes 4 caddies and denies the support he'll lose out on 16-32g or change up the % so that ADC loses more. I feel like 15-25% is just right. Can't have it at 30% and give ADC more and more gold. What do you guys think? If it is the matter of trust issues, then play a ap poking champion, let the ADC worry about the caddy and get money through poking. OR you can be a small troll and not use the item to its full potential by not using stacks for the ADC to regain HP, but that is not really common nor recommended. What do you guys think and what are some other ideas you have to make FOTM better?
I let them get the first cannon minion. If they fail, then im only letting them take the mages.
