When thresh throws his lantern can he say something?

I feel like no one ever TAKES THE GOD DAMN LANTERN. And when asked about why not, they always say they didn't see it or didn't know I threw it. How did the shield you suddenly got and the long light trail connecting me to the object on your champion not alert you to its presence?

But for those of you who still cant realize that safety is just a click away, can Thresh literally shout at them to take the Lantern? This would only apply if the lantern is not dropped on thresh's feet like in a team fight when he uses it to shield the full team.
