Jungle works like support. getting his lanes ahead. Jungle thanks to XP changes doesnt get ahead on his own by farming. its literally by helping the team. now you CAN get ahead on jungle but the jungle itself is no longer a carry role. Especially at high elo. Jungle is in one of its worst spots for individual carrying that it has been for a very long time.
You dont get as much gold as the laners. you fall behind in XP unless you play against morons who push without wards and dont look at their map. You are literally a roaming support.
Also 1. you obviously dont play jungle and dont understand it in the slightest. and 2. dont you even TRY and make the ranked argument when you dont play ranked yourself.
In low Elo where players have no idea what they are doing jungle seems oppressive, but once you play against players who actually have brains jungle becomes significantly more difficult. the players ward, they are always looking at their map. They keep as good of tabs on you as possible and are able to avoid a lot of ganks.
In low elo you can just walk into someones lane and gank them. But in high elo they do a lot of deep warding and can often see you coming. Watch any challenger stream and you will see what junglers face. most of the map is lit up like a Christmas tree and it forces a jungler to be very creative in his ganks.
