I can't believe meddler said wukong is on the strong side.

After 3 straight nerfs to wukong, and nobody is playing him... Meddler finally replied to a wukong question.. And he said he's on the good to strong side in the mid and jungle. HaHAHa jungle ahahhh Idk how can someone say that when there are champs like kha/graves/xin/camille/jax/irelia/aatrox/lee/kayn, etc.. So many broken champs with a 10 times more playrate against which wukong cant do anything, but wukong is strong. Alright. Ok.

To be fair at all elos, Wukong has an above average win rate, whereas those champions that have more play rate tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum on some fields.

he legit has like a 1% pickrate in his most popular role lol

P.S. He has a 48% WR in Bronze

That is on me, I was looking at it globally, not just NA, he has a 48% win rate at bronze, then above average everywhere else.

i wouldn't say wukong is "strong" or Weak" i would say he is BALANCED. leaning slightly toward the stronger side, but not really in need of addressing.. as there are easily 10+ other champs that are stronger than him what Do HIGHLY need addressing

i mean yeah its a 51% winrate, (I'm also talking in account all elos here, not just bronze; i only linked bronze to prove the person im quoting wrong) but coupled with the fact that right now he doesn't FEEL oppressive, and he cant 1shot you from stealth i dont think he needs nerfs.

i would VERY Strongly argue against any buffs, but i don't think he needs "nerfs" i think he is "fine" and given the current state of balance a complete non-issue when compared to horrendously OP shit like Irelia Pyke and even lesser op but still a pretty big issue like AkaliUrgot Nocturne

he may eventually need a very minor nerf, but we arn't anywhere near that point yet

Sure... nerf the already trash champion. God this board [zombie-brand-facepalm]

Indeed, and has an above average win rate at all elos, or are you saying that a champion is only a problem if they have a high play rate and win rate?

Yes, I am, because winrate doesn't really matter if your pickrate is so fucking low that majority of the players are mains.

So Jax is a problem and needs nerf then correct?

sub 10 pickrate, flat 50 winrate

sounds balanced to me

Your site accounts for an average over multiple patches, on the current patch, he has a 15 to 20% pick rate at all elos, while having a 51%+ win rate at all elos.

AirKingNeo1 votes

No, the site doesn't. The only site that does that is champion.gg.

Also, you're not giving sources to what you said.

Meddler prefer ignoring Wukong community, and just replied to a Silver 3 saying "Wukong feel good". How with your 42% wr in very low elo you can say Wukong feel good ??

Even Harambe the best Wukong NA say the pick is trash, and he's not the only one to think like this

Well the problem with Wukong is that he binary in lower elo. Either he get fed and just dive the backline 1 vs 3 and get and easy triple or be a bot cause he cant come back at all and he is here for the ult. There isnt a middle ground. His passive is meh at best, i never notice it or i have never said omg thanks god i had my passive and saved me in this teamfight. His Q and E is point and click damage and his Q has armor shred debuff. Vs enemies that dont know how to play against he is very easy to snowball and become a monster and since bronze and silver and low gold is the majority, wukong CAN BE considered strong in a sense. IS HE TRULLY storng no, he feels lackluster, weak vs many if not all match ups and needs a rework at least an Alistar level rework if not a complete VGU

painkills1 votes

Yeah. His binary nature is his curse.

People hate him, with a passion, because if he's fed, then an invisible monkey jumps out of nowhere and stomps you before you can react.

However, his players are upset as well because his early game weakness is ridiculous (highest mana costs, lowest mana pool, no sustain, predictable trade patterns, cant even kill minions under tower cuz Q too weak). If you dont get fed, or farm well, then forget about the rest of the game.

If Wukong's burst were to be lowered in favor of more sustained dps, he would be much healthier.

This doesnt even require a full rework, some numbers tuning and one additional mechanic or so in passive and Q could do the trick:

  • Q - Crushing blow: Wukong's next basic attack deals 30/50/70/90/110 + (110% AD) physical damage and shreds the enemy's armor by 10% for 6 seconds. The armor reduction stacks up to 5 times and refreshes the duration to 6 seconds. 25 mana, 5 second cooldown.

  • Passive - Stoneskin: Wukong gains +2 armor and magic resist for every 150 bonus health. He gains an additional 3/5/7 armor and magic resist for every nearby enemy champ.

Analysis: Wukong's Q would now deal a little more damage early game (+20 base and +10% scaling) but less damage late game (-20 base and -30% scaling). This means his overall AD scaling for one shot builds is diminished. However, the fact that his Q scales, and has a 5 second cooldown means that he can threaten enemies with loads of damage if they keep getting hit by him. He will eventually outdamage current wukong, but only if he stays there and slams you 5 times to ruin your armor. It gives him team utility by threatening anyone shreded by him to be destroyed by physical damage dealers. It gives him something unique, without making him the bursty nightmare he is, and without changing his basic playstyle / trade patterns (E-aa-Q-W).

However, for that Q to work, he needs to be able to stay in the fight to apply it to a target several times. For this, he needs some survivability beyond a clone every 10 seconds. Therefore, lets change his passive. If a Wukong were to try to abuse the passive, he would get Titanic Hydra, Black Cleaver, Steraks, Frozen Mallet, and Warmogs (450 + 400 + 450 + 800 + 700 = 2800). This nets him 2800 HP (37 ar/mr). With his passive, that grants him 44 - 72 bonus AR and MR. Strong, better than his 8 - 40 ar/mr atm. Yet, this is only if he builds full bonus health. If he tries to go full AD build, then his passive is weaker than current. People already argue that its largely useless, so that shouldnt be a big deal. However, for bruiserkongs, a more reasonable Black Cleaver, Trinity Force, Steraks, Titanic, Deaths Dance (400 + 250 + 450 + 450 = 1550) nets him 1550 HP (21 ar/mr). This would give him 28 - 56 ar/mr.

These changes make a Wukong Assassin, who everyone hates less effective. It makes a Wukong who goes full tank be quite beefy, but potentially helpful in teamfights as he shreds people's armor. It makes a Bruiserkong more survivable, less bursty, but with some threat of future damage if he keeps slapping you with his stick.

Bruh but he has a 50% WR with .5% playrate. He needs a 4th and 5th nerf just to be safe

3.5% playrate in total, between 51 and 53.5% winrate. A bit different, but still a far call from a 50% winrate at a 0.5% playrate.

Also, these numbers still indicate that Wukong is in a good to slightly strong spot.

Sharpest glasses2 votes

Stop parroting meddler.

50% wr for 2% pr in jungle... mean despite being only played by mains, they struggle to win with him. and if you look at diams +, his pickrate and wr decrease.

Lee is neither very strong neither weak, and Wukong needs full rework.

Wukong is weak, and yeah need a rework.

Lee is okay, but strong in good hands. (Wukong isnt even strong when played by good payers).

Wukong mid cheese is why he has to stay weak till a rework
