What exactly is with promotionals this season?

I just ended up in Bronze 1 after going 7:3 in promos and doing relatively well each game.

Last season I went like 4:6 and started in silver III there are also people who were gold + last season on my FL that ended up in bronze and have won far more games than lost as well as doing decently well in each game (according to match history anyway)

Exactly what got reset?

This happened to me as well. I was in b2 last season. Won 7-3 of my placements this season and now im in B5!! Ya, that very bottom!!! Not gonna get me playing and spending money on the game pulling shit like that!!
