Armor Pen Jayce build is actually infuriating to play against

You say "armor penetration Jayce" like that's not been his build path for every season he's been around.

But to answer your question, Jayce is a lane bully. Play safe, perhaps play a tank that can provide utility for your team to counter his damage.

Alternatively, play another fighter if you're comfortable with it and shut him down in lane.

Armor pen in general is annoying to play against. Doesn't matter if its an assassin,adc, or whatever jayce is considered. I hope riot looks at their items before they start gutting champs. Not saying jayce doesn't need to be toned down (haven't seen him much myself) but I would hate for another sej incident to happen.

Stay behind you minions and purchase boots early to avoid his skill shots. He has massive AD burst, but it drains his mana early. He gains additional power shortly after switching weapons; so, engage some seconds after he changes out and has used one or two of his abilities.

Armor Pen Jayce? Does he have another build? Jayce is a lane bully, he's very strong early game thanks to him having double your abilities and having strong poke, start with Doran shield, play safe, don't try to trade early levels, don't understimate his damage in melee form.
