Illaoi support, vayne needs to survive the laning phase. Illaoi is one of the biggest threats in any lane. Would this work at all? Illaoi has good base damage so she could still be very strong in fights mid/late game.

has very minimal cc and her only really useful ability if you're not building damage is your E, she doesn't really offer much if not building bruiser. I'd rather have a

Depends on the matchup, vayne doesnt bring much to the table early. A cait comp can still push illaoi out of lane with no issues

Only thing that shuts this down hard is a morg/sivir lane.

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votesillaoi is not that big a threat unless you are solo. Poke and burst are great against her if you aren't constantly being hit by tentacles.
You will lose horribly and you will feel bad as vayne gets mauled to death, often while you get ignored later on because you are underleveled due to duolane
