Could Zekes and Knights vow get some kind of animation if the link breaks?

I played a game earlier where I picked up as top lane because our ADC won lane and we had a pretty strong teamfight if we played protect the carry, it worked pretty well. But I noticed at the end of the game that our support had ALSO picked up at some point and wondered if I had been just sitting on the item not using the link. Sure enough I spent the last 8 or 9 minutes of the game linked to no one because I hadn't noticed the small, low opacity gray circle under me was gone, and that at the moment the link was severed the circle just vanished, and thought it could I dunno, glow for a second before fading or something. When you link up both units get a little crown for like a second, so I was a little surprised there was nothing.

Sure I could have been more aware, but I feel like the indicators are designed to be as unobtrusive as possible while active to cut back on visual over saturation with all the other shit going on in the game, so I'm not THAT surprised I missed it.
